You could try a few things...Find a part of the hedgerow that appears to not have much activity going on around it (no visible movement tracks) and maybe try slotyourself in there facing diaganol / parallel to the hedgerow where there shud be holes within 10-40 yrds. Otherwise you could try setting up something facing onto where they come out. I dont know if your allowed on the permission because of fear for harming livestock but you could dig a hole that u cud put a small stool in orm something then just camo your upper half up. I have tried using a tent pole on just stuck the two ends in the

Do you take your gun apart to dry and clean it after being out in the rain? I oil mine down with a cloth or something but didnt thin kabout what could be happening inside?

Pictures arent up for some reason, try again uploading them. As for gettingn the rabbits to shift Im not so sure. Quite hard to make an animal change tis territory (then again you did it once!) I would suggest asking a few of the really experienced gunners on here see if they have encountered anything like this...How about seeking permission from the peice of land they have moved onto? Who knows they may be glad of you to get rid of them, and as a incentive you can say they are practically non existent on the other peice of permission now! Goodluck! Jack

My mate has been house sitting for his ex lady friend while they are all away as the house has loads of quail, geese, ducks, chickens, working / field dogs etc to look after. He's a kean shooter aswell (mate and the father of the family) so I took round my rifle and nailed a couple of pidgeons that were lurking about after the chicken feed within not long. Amusingly we tried to get one of the dogs to retrieve a pidgeon after being shot but ended up with the bird stuck in its mouth not listening to our commands and we just verbally negotiated for at least 30 mins with this bloody pdgeon hanging

Jeez that is a massive rabbit! Hahah fair play ! Humans cant get ill from eating a mixy rabbit can they? Jack

Was just wondering what people think as to how rabbits react to the smell of smoke. I have frequently up until now had a smoke (rollies or alternative of) while lying down in wait, and sometimes have made kills during o just after...so surely the smell may not bother them? However there ahve been times I havent seen them come up and that may be the reason? Just wondering if any of you old timer hunters have seen a rabbit take a sniff in the air and do a runner?! The ones that would assosiate that smell with human waiting are usually the ones that end up in my freezer! Jack

p.s the other gun in the dove picture is my mates old webley vulcan with gas ram!

Beg your pardon mate I mistyped, was meant to say I dont shoot 'without'. Your right the silencer is nice. Have been shooting 4 days on the trot doing some good shooting then headed out tonight and didnt get a thing! Weird how it goes! Excuse my ignorance but howcome the carbine would be more accurate, I always assumed that longer barrell usually meant better accuracy? Jack

Cheers mate, we have similar setup mate I believe... You dotn know what the differences between Weihrauch 95 and 95k are do you? I asssumed The 'K' came with silencer and no old school sights? Not sure couldnt find anything online. Good rifle though. My first full on .22. Anyway...just wasting abit of time before I head out again! Went shooting with one of my mates at the permission last night. Have been getting quite a few recently and made some pretty mega shots! We have been going up too early I think as we hadnt adjusted our winter time hunting times (5-9ish) to 7-10ish so we have been sseeing quite a few about. Started off just nailing a smallish one near the car, headshot... Went quite some time before nailing myself my longest shot so far..roughly 51 yards! It was standing as there wasnt a clear line of sight to lie down. Rabbit took the shot in the upper neck but went down...centre meter higher and it would

Just watched it and didnt recon loads to it.. Take that last standing stance...you cant aim anywhere but down really, and if using a spring then I think you would have to learn to take the recoil through your body. Just seemed a bit awkward to me but eachto there own!

Yeh its an HW95. Definatley a good gun its serving me well. We have been shooting loads at this permission, sometimes like 7-8 days in a row! Addicted for sure! I usually head up there with a mate or two who are on the forums too. I think I just gotthat spontaneous urge to head out again!? Hahah Jack

Have only posted on here a few times so far but have done a little bit of picture taking on an spontaneous afternoon shot today. Will have to post few times to get most the pics in! Saw a few when I was walking around but have been on a pretty unlucky run recently not getting anything last night. So i walked around for awhile checked out the magpie trap for any captures which there wasnt, headed off to a spot and lay for about 40 mins with hayfever going crazy have been a little more impatient recently. So i head off and eventually came round a corner to find a very much alive crow with a bro

I've got a HW95 recently with nice scope and just dont find the need to involve a bipod, takes a bit of freedom away and if your lying on the ground I usually find I can get a pretty steady hold. Every person to there own though!

Hahah, well I thought I was being paranoid at first as I saw alot of strange orange flashes that night! Some sort of electrical buildup in the atmosphere or something. However I went got the new screw put in tightened it all up and went bk to the permission land with my mate, started firing off again missing a post at 10yrs, then swapped pellet from Napier power hunters which we had no problem using in the past with previous rifles, to freshly bought bisley super field. after a few shots i could clearly see and feel that it was now consistent and shooting straight so i zero'd it back in and sw

I probably should have mentioned before that I have one missing screw at the frotn and another on order but it hasnt been playing up at all or inconsistent..It just went from being able to plant a accupel in a rabbits head standing at 30yrds to being used in the next shoot and being unshootable! I will tighten the screws and see what happens if they need tightening. Cheers for advice, anymore welcomed as I am deeply concerned seeing as I currently cant resist but go for a shoot 5 nights a week 5-9.30! Hahaha! Jack

Yeh I am sure of full power...as for the scope 'sliping' how do you mean? I could try tomorrow taking it all off and putting it back on again propley then trying to re zero in the rifle. I tried without silencer and am pretty sure it made no difference. I just thought if it slipped then at least it might be consistent with its new placement!! Who knows, its just weird both our guns went weird at the same time. Hmm, anymroe suggestions ?

Hi all, basically I bought a Weihrauch HW95 with a Hawke scope about 2 months ago maximum. has been spot on made loads of kills etc etc. However, I went for a shoot today with my mate and weirdly enough both our guns were completley zeroed out, and when i attempted to see what was going on by shooting fence posts etc I was getting a massive spread of shots, and I mean massive! Have no ide aat all what is going on i tried to zero my gun back in but everytime i seemed to get closer i would be having shots not even hitting target! What possibly could be wrong? Tempreture change could not have do
