i baught a mk3 last week and thats the only locator i have used and i think its a good bit of kit only used it twice out side and used it loads in the house

just a question because im thick but when you put the hole rabbit in do you eat everything or do you pick the bones out? or is it just for the dogs?

This season will be my first, i got into ferreting when just after this christmas me and my mate and his dad went for a day out with a great bloke cald jim who dose pest control and trains dogs and we had a great day out and from that day i got me self a dog then got two ferrets

whippet bedlington mate i got one me self, its 6 month and he trys to catch everything from a fly to a rabbit great dogs easy to train. They learn things really quickly in the house and outside, He is also good with the ferrets plays with them all the time sumtimes bites them because they bite him but you just tell him NICE and he plays nice again they realy are a great dog thats him on my picutre <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< hes got the coat of a whippet but he is a whippet bedlington

if you read through the 11 pages in the pinned post top of page, "alternative ferret finder" you'll see the pictures, write up etc of the loca8tor I was doing a review on, I use it alongside the mk3 as it finds above ground to 400ft, collars still need modifying a bit, myself and richie came up with the idea of placing it along the collar, inside a piece of "heat shrink" tubing, getting used to putting the collars on at the correct tightness, while at home can only be a good thing, if a ferret wants the collar off, it will happen weather its above or below ground, and then adjustments (ext

thanks again stubby, yea i agree but i aint had the leather but the nylon seens to be gud my jill gets on the first hole but if you can have it a bit tighter i think i will make a other hole just to be safe. I had a go last night and i think that the mk3 is pritty good beacuse you can turn the pinpointer right down so then you dont have to listen to the sound untill you get near your collar , because i do find that if u have the pinpointer on with the sound that it can become confusing, but more practis and i will get the hang of it thanks for the pics stubby also what is that

thanks stubby i need all the info i can get now. i got all the gear but no idea, well i got a little knowledge but not great. Went out with a bloke called Jim who trains dogs but we went vermin catchin with his dogs and ferret it was a great day out and from then ive been kean as mustard to get out ther and get into the sport but yea i will deffo have a go for a few days round the house to get the hang of it

i got 2 kits me self a jill and a hob they have just settled in and now they play fight all day and when i get up in the morning they runn to cage to get to me and when i let them out they lick me then start play nipping and then running round like headles chicken. these are my first ferrets and i couldnt imagen what one on its own would be like, just carnt wait to get them working.
