can give this a try. when i was out with bloke doing a bit of ferreting my mates dog kept trying to grab the ferret when it came out the hole so what the bloke did was he got the ferret and when the dog tryed to go for the ferret he put the ferret to the dog and shouted that loud that it scared the dog and then the dog faught twice about doing it again. give that a try may spook the dog worth a try

hey everyone as this is my first season for ferreting i am looking for permission in the merseyside area if anyone can help me out that would be great . i live like 30 min from liverpool and 30 min from manchester and 10 min from chester so if anyone can help me out for my first season i would be very greatfull

thanks sue, one of my gills has lost a bit of weight but i think that could be threw fighting for food, and having a cold wont help, so now i got my eye on her and i have her to eating on her own to be on the safe side

stubby your 100% right i got sawdust i n me cage. should i use sumthing elts or will they be fine some people find that the saw dust does cause some respitory distress... others have no problems beyond a few sneezes when its first put down.. you might check out a Dust Extracted Wood Chip though... you can get it from Mole Valley Farmers for about £6 a bale.. lasts absolutely ages thanks lorelei i will get the dust free saw dust to be safe and its safer for the ferrets

hey guys thanks for the info , i get my sawdust from the pet shop and ther is dust with it. and also i have had a cold and i didnt think quick enuff because i have read that ferrets can catch a cold, but only two of my ferrets seem to sneeze and i one of them dose have a bit of a runny noise so manybe its a cold or maybe its the saw dust

i dunno my ferrets keep sneezing about 3 times in a row i aint been to the vet just wanted to know what i should do maybe bring them inn the house for a few days or sumthing?

i take mine track every now and then and let him have a half lapp and watch the lure. Bit of a fussy bugger when it comes to food , dont like eating when you want him too

great dog mate just like my pup <<<<<<< when thers long grass he gose crazy hes 8 month now carnt wait till he gets his first rabbit, just stated taking him out once a week at night with lamp, carnt get him to look wer the light is yet tho but practis makes perfecto

hey peeps. took the dog out for the first time lamping . chased one out of 5. any tips for getting the dog looking into the lamp more, i know the more times i take it out im sure it will learn ( i hope!). i also found a hole or two as well why walking about so gonna give them a try with the ferrets one day this week but any tips for training the dog to look into the light will help thanks
