  1. I don't like fishing In the rain Perhaps I should try It more often as I usually get a take as soon as the heavens open when I'm carp fishing
  2. Yup can't agree more, but the latest baits make this shit fisherman feel beter
  3. Your not the first person I have heard saying he's a twat Don't let the rightful owner find out you have got It Is It surface rigged or what? You ever In north east wales? I'm no expert infact far, far from It but we could have a look about If you like. Do you like rainbows
  4. I was of the same opinion JD till I watched the korda DVDs. I was surprised how clued up the carp were. Sounds like thats just beginers luck gazza
  5. I'm surprised no one who lamps from the motor and needs to vanish occasionally hasn't thought about running a bottle. I know a lot of country roads have hardly any straights and It would be a fair cost at first but once you hit the straights and boot It you would soon make distance
  6. I was planning to have a look as the rains been non stop and windy all day. Just as I come In from taking the bitch out at 6.30 It all stops!! I'm not wasting my time squelching through the fields now
  7. Yes mate I did get out once Shame I caught nothing but the greater spotted weed fish despite plenty rising and getting at leat one good "take" I was only fishing for 20 mins but In fairness I SHOULD of caught but I know waht I did wrong on this water. I doubt I'll be out again this year now with the nights drawing In but It's there for next year when the dog gets a rest and I need to be kept buisy If you were abit closer ooty I would of poped along If you needed a hand but Norfolk Is abit far
  8. What are you after ooty? I was told most estuarys tend to be quite hot, Only one way to find out though I remember seeing hugh fernley whipping stool doing abit of netting In the sea on one of his shows though so that must be allright...
  9. Does It really matter? You agreed to pay that much so obviously thought it wasn't over priced or wouldn't of bought It. As Mackem says Jiffy bags aren't exactly cheap now either. On eBay you get little Items with postage costing 50 quid or more and there's no way It will cost that much but the seller does this to save on eBay fees. Take a 50 quid fishing rod for example. They would put 49 quid postage and start the auction at 99p so they pay the cheapest listing fees. However that Isn't a problem In your case buying direct from the retailer.
  10. I'm In north east wales and It has been tipping It down all day quite heavy too. The river by us Is up alot too. Good luck
  11. I remember you telling me about that M. All part of the fun I've just ordered 3 flavourings so will have a go at making them when I get It and may give them a try LG too. I've got some other liquid bait stuff in the tackle box. Little plastic sachets of oil, really fishy flavoured so will probably try them at some point too. I'll let you know how I get on.
  12. Yeah your right. Is Tia's leg holding up alright after that accident? Last I heard you were running her but had too be careful not too over stress It.
  13. Hows he coming on mate. I remember last season you were strugleing abit with him?
  14. Thanks very much MC Just off for tea but will read It through afterwards.
  15. Not too bad C, yourself?? I found advanced netting good on price and quality, delivery was really quick when I ordered too. Highly recomend them
  16. Have a look on advanced netting for the twines and braids
  17. Will he play with balls, teddys or whatever. I don't mean launching it and he goes to get it just put It on a string or roll It around In front of him. As Undi says get the dog real hyped and he'll soon pay interest.
  18. Nice one Springy Were they for hawks then when you say animal feeding? What price were you getting If you don't mind me asking?
  19. Cheers MC. Sounds good. I take It I could just use that glug then to flavour my base mix. I've not long ago bought some pineapple richworth boilies (never caught on them, I even had them out the other day, changed to tutti fruiti and caught!) so once I have ran out of these I'll get some made up What are the usual flavours to use In the different seasons. You mentioned pineapple when It's warm so what about Autumn etc as were approaching now? I usually use corn or meat and only just started using boilies so havn't a clue.
  20. Your probably right M but theres that many nuisance fish In this lake infact all the pools on this fishery. You can chuck in a big peice of meat and they will just keep picking It away and you usually end up fowl hooking one. Boilies are the only thing they don't go for yet still hoover up the ground mix and suspended. The fella said the enviroment agency were coming to catch them up just leaving the bigger carp, tench, roach, rudd etc in. Wasn't you was It The flavourings on that ebay shop seem to be a good price so I'll probably just get a couple off there and see how I get on.
  21. I'll look into getting some glug. It's 12 quid on ebay and only 10 or so In the shop so will check there one day. As for not using comercial products MC, I wouldn't know were to start so will just keep It simple for now. Anyone used these http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Liquid-Baits Look like some good prices. Whats the bird seed put in the boilies for then? Just extra flavour, smell?? All that looks a bit complicated LG and more to the point, fecking expensive!
  22. Cheers Gaz. Can I mix the dip in to the base mix to make fusion boilies or just dip the ones I make before use?? The ones I'm using now are home made from the car boot and have tiny black bits in. What are these and what are they put in for. Non of the ritchworth boilies I have used had this in??
