ive read all of this and i can under stand how you must feel as the same thing as happened to me once ,now days i would sooner put the working dog down then past it on , that way at least you no where they are.

for years working terriers to me as been earth work, dogs that go down holes and works his game, ratting is yes good fun ,but for young pups, had a phone call last night from a keeper friend who as asked me to do some ratting this sunday ive said yes as it keeps me on the land for digging but only me young ones will be doing it ,i will take a couple of old dogs with me so as soon as we are dun im going for a dig, 7 till 10 ratting then 10 till ive dun digging, then again digging in the week as theres to meny out at weekends now days.

hes sent them for work ,no money,the dogs can work for fun, big strong dogs bred for the job and doing really well, the man that as got them as had some long digs to them.

its nice to see people with different views, whether you agree or disagree, each to there own, you do what you want with your dogs and the breed or cross you keep, not every 1 will like the same and im glad they dont or the would would be a sad place to live.

these are all wheaten crosses,the smooth bitch is 3/4 greyhound 1/4 wheaten these dogs all like the sharp end ,will take some up 2 date photo and put them up so people can have a good look,ed was out ur way the other week lamping.[attachment=9962 attachment]

wait till they are about 3 weeks old mate then try them on something warm, abit of cooked pet mince, or some thing .

every 1 starts there pups of different, and we all think its the best way, what do you think people did 40 50 years ago to start there pups off on ,there was not sacks of dog food about then ,they got the left overs and thats if they was lucky, the same as worming i like strongid p 4 me pups it works gets them clean,its alot of money but who cares you want the best start 4 your pups or you should do . all the best with your pups.

i havent got a clue mate, had her to put me big dog a cross, been running her as didnt know she was in pup, she as got good stamina for a greyhound and wants the kill, will be happy when the man comes and take his back with him, he can take em at 7 weeks old , will find out how they are bred and put it put, then if any 1 wants the dog pup it will be pm only .

why you want dvds of other peoples dogs doing the job, that makes me wonder , if it was a training vid for gundogs or hunting with hound then yes, if these dvds get in the wrong hands which they do the lads will in the end get pulled , would sooner watch me own dogs working ,i get more enjoyment out of it then sitting in the arm chair watching other peoples, arron your a nice lad but pack it in and get a job. :whistle:

the man i had her off has 42 runners on doncaster, he got offered £4000 for the bitch but turned it down as he wanted pups out of her, hes had two litters then i had her 7 weeks ago and f**k me its in pup , phoned him up and told him ,and he asked the lads who work for him to see what dog she had been in with and it turned out to be his black & white dog, i phoned him the other day to tell him and he asked me what colours the pups were , black & white , 1 white with black marking on head & brindle & white so he wants most back, there is only 8 now as two snuffed it , there is

Hi my bitch had 10 pups last night, started at about 9.20 and droped the last 1 at 6.37 this morning been in and out allnight, will put some photos up later , ive got to phone the man i had her off so he can sort the reg out , this bitch can run for fun and is very well bred, i will be keeping a bitch pup back then the rest can go, would like some to go to working homes aswell so if any 1 would like 1 pm me .

1 on 1 its like adog fight , 2 on 1 its over sooner, got 1 off that man about 4 years ago with my mate ,they are good but not big enough for foxes , well that my opinion.

my 1/2bred bitch is 24 1/2 inch & my dog is just over 27 inch and they are both game,run alnight and work with terriers spot on ,will give you 100 % each time out ,take big and small game what more could you ask from a lurcher.
