How many actually use their dogs to the full potential to see what stamina they really produce. I will admit, I have no need to. I allow my dogs to catch enough for myself, family and the odd friend or two. If the dog is fit and healthy and at the right weight then they should perform for your needs. Let's face it, the dogs are not running constantly, and if lamping is your game, then you should, (no matter what blood is pumped inside your dog), rest it in between runs. (Pending) It was just a thought with all this stamina being mentioned....

If I tell you, does that mean that someone will come and nick them? I'll also show where they stay if that helps. Oh and give ya their names too...... I mean, dog thefts are way way down the list now....... :nea:

If you have a point and slip type then it doesn't matter..why would it? They never retrieve to hand really and all you want is the catch, then walk a mile to retrieve it yourself.... If you have it to fill the bag, get a decent job completed, or even use it along side your day to day job, then it matters immensely. I like the one on one rapport, the dog must do what I ask it to do, and it must do it sufficiently. 13/14 months is normally the target age. Each dog is an individual.

A dog that is so to speak "Bred for the job" doesn't necessarily mean it will do the job. All the pure deerhounds I have seen have not been up to the job. I tasted gazelle once, and I too did not like it's taste, but that doesn't mean I wont have a saluki blooded dog. A bit short and to the point Atric....personally i,d have prefered it if you,d have given us a 10 page thesis on the subject

That's the most interesting reply on the thread Artic. Seriously though, if the ban was lifted it would still only be legal for those with permission. There were no more "cowboys" before the ban than after and I'm sure most of us have done a little freelancing in the past. How many usernames you got on here artic??? One......

The day the ban gets lifted will be the day I give up hunting my dogs. It would be anarchy, have a little think about what would actually happen. Think about the amount of idiots that would run wild as more than ever. Not my cup of tea.

Well...... Firstly, the man with the microphone has a very proud nose. Secondly, There wasn't many followers there, and did you notice that the leader didn't have a clue what to shout next.. He was rather confusing to follow... Thirdly, Why repeat themselves, they are not being heard, and never will. Lastly, towards the end of their play, why were they souting Birm Birm Birmingham??? Huh!

What those children did was disgracful, and they will be seen to no doubt. All that carnage has not solved anything, and it will not change anything. Pay for your education, it's never been free and never will. All you students can hate me, disagree with me, I don't have children as friends. Ban all student grants I say.
