If you have nothing to show, i mean NOTHING, no URN, no letter of consent, no proof of quarry (rabbits), then the police will dig deeper. How many of you actually ring your local force to make them aware that you are going hunting? Forget the poachers, i'm on about the ones with permission that have been stopped for a chat.

True, lets face it they are guests!!!! thats it A GUEST. I dont care about them, let them read, and i hope they enjoy reading our posts.... At the end of the day, when you type Hunting Sites on Google, which site is on page 1 and first. I'll tell you........... This site. So it says it all really.

Thanks chaps for all your advice. All taken on board.

I see your point Catcher1. However we are better than them to go on their site and argue with the lentil breeding mutants. Let them run to us and cry, howl, beg for peace! Their fighting a battle that they think they can win, but they are far from winning. I know it's hard not to comment to those mutants when they post utter crap, but if we just ignore them then they will feel unheard! They want an argument, they want us to say the wrong things to (use as evidence), so if we can just ignore them, then they will look like loners even more. Peace and love and all that!

THORN IN SIDE FOR COURSING AND TERRIER WORK
artic replied to andri's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
The biggest thorn in the side for lurchmen and women is arseholes running on land they do not have permission on ,often losing hard earned land for those who have taken the trouble to ask for permission. No matter how often it is illustrated by the negative publicity ,and programmes such as the recent country file one ,some just don't get it, never have ,never will. i thought it was illegal to course even if u have permission to walk land get off your high horse inan young lads dont have the same opportunities as we all did Ah you see it only takes a few young/old/middle aged peo -

THORN IN SIDE FOR COURSING AND TERRIER WORK
artic replied to andri's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
i reckon anyone who cares so little for their dogs that they are prepared to risk having them taken away and end up who know where, by illegally coursing, deserves to get caught!! I was a passionate courser pre ban but im not prepared to lose my dogs after the damn law was brought it. Too true. The people that do this cause misery. I was with an estate owner yesterday, he showed me where someone had driven all over his crops, all over the lovely mowed grass adjacent to his home. He described them as hooligans that are causing him and his family stress and fear! Now in my books thats -
Thanks for the advice. Reference the yardage of the net, Salcalin did you mean 1x 25yd net or 2x 25yd net? I'm really interested in this method and i would like to use one on some land i have gained which has not been ruined and not worked on for years. Like some one has mentioned I will need to get use to setting it out before i go out and use it on the rabbits. Maybe someone can show me how these work. Thank you.

Bob, thats fine, and i see you have your ammo to hand. I have no comment to make with those clippings from The Times that you have posted. Lets all get on, kiss and cuddle and prey.

Bob, as your aware this anti against pro will very long continue. I for one dont take any notice of the mutants anymore, however we are on a hunting site and I will support my fellow hunting friends and of course The Hunting aspect as a whole. Nothing is really scary, for every shoot is sold one is brought. Today i acquired another 300 hectares. I'm going to have fun shooting rabbits, foxes, and deer. A job needs to be done and i will do it with all my pleasure. Sorry.

I have just viewed that shower of shite programmme. Well there's no surprise is there. Lets show the public all the bad slides. As for John the two faced twat earning loads of money for the BBC will say anything!! I think the lads could of come up with a better excuse, infact why answer to John or that PCSO!!! Dont get me wrong, they obviously had no permission, and were silly doing what they did, but they had some quality looking dogs eh!

The quickset longnet. Can it be used for dropping at night? Sorry iv'e never used a longnet, have seen a few being used during the day. It looks like more and more people are using this traditional method. What would be the best set up? 50yd, 100yd, or 2 x 25yd? I see that most members on here have used the Net Loft. Is there a waiting time for these nets? Thank You.

A copy landed on my door this morning. Opened the well packaged parcel and there was the book. What a great front cover to have!! I think anyone who is serious about their hunting should have these little series books in their book shelf. Not started reading it yet as i'm too busy, but i'm confident that it will not fail, and as always is written to high standard with no obstructive rubbish. What i mean is, to the point like every hunting book should be. The photos make the book what it is, class! Signed to i might add in a Bic Biro!!! LOL.... Gone are the days where a fountain pen

Its hard not to repeat what good advice some members have mentioned on here. The sal x grey for me is the ideal cross and i must add that deerhound added to the mix, well then you have the most dedicated, loyal, brave grafting dog to use for your pest control. The problem comes when owners become too excited and enter the dog too early. Bond, bond and bond not just saluki x's but any dog. Then the obidience comes into play, the steadyness, the stock breaking (espeacially saluki x's). Once all these have been drummed into your dog the rest will follow. Enter too early and all else

Forget the "What if's" This chap did what his natural instinct told him to do so. I hope they both get all the RIGHT welfare. Situations like this come back to haunt you for the rest of your life!

I wouldn't have thought so, have just bought a very nice Canada Goose parka that'll do the job nicely, when I said I work the door, I meant as a proper Doorman, not as a mong in a hi vis jacket standing outside some scummy bar with 25 of my mates because I can't do it on my own ........ :piggy: I have one of them to shoot with. Set me back about £400 or so. Nice and warm espeacially when your outside. You must get rather hot wearing that inside. meowwwwww talking of hot places . how is woburn ? have the lads made it hot enough for you yet lol

I agree here. Rural crime is on the up, so more police will be in those areas. A quick call to the police dont hurt before you go out, it saves alot of unwanted hassle and keeps the police actually going to a genuine job where their help is needed by members of the public. "Good evening Officer c**t, I'm just off to walk a few fields and exercise the local wildlife ................ " Perhaps not eh? It's not the permission issue here, I know lads who go out in all sorts of places without it, and all they leave behind is a few footprints, but to wake up to smashed fences, ty

Sorry, but 1 dog howling is enough to send anyone up the wall let alone 5. Your neighbour if he has evidenced the howling and noted the times, then the council will put sound moderators out to hear if the howling consitutes a breach of someones peace. The neighbour like someone has mentioned already can very easily bring the case to a magistrates. If you lose, then you can appeal, but in the mean time your dogs would have to go. Electric collars on 5 dogs is a receipe for disaster, another dogs bark, howl will set off another dogs collar. What you will have espeacially with heavy

2 words ...............social services Its very common when young children have colic that they will cry and cry and cry. There are many old traditional options to soothe this problem. Drive your child around in a car is another option. The washing machine/tumble dryer method is a mums favourite and by god it works. Or you could drug your child up. Please send the social services around. Kettle is on.
