somebody gave or sold lucky that dog of his for one reason or another.......if it comes with a trial then i don't see why people are giving him stick about why he's selling it!! he may as well let someone who really wants a half x thats good have it and love it rather than him half arsed like it not many good dogs move about so if someone gets a good dog already going then i say fair play for letting it go to a good home!!

thats exactly it oldskool ...if thats all he does i'll still keep him but he's so close i think he could be better if he can just learn to use his power!! I think she was a chocolate spotty one nijinski...the man to ask is marco i got him off him but he got him off someone close to him, i never saw the mother or father....took a hell of a gamble but i couldn't have a lurcher looking lurcher if you get me!!!

my mate dragged one around and he wouldn't even nip it at first slowly got him to bite stuff....he didn't seem to like the taste or something!! never left him with one, but he has retrieved a few dead ones Why do you ask?? Infact tonight i just realised something....he has only started a guarding sort of bark in the last few days!! not even consistent yet....maturity????

J darcy are you meaning wait till this time next year or this coming cubbing season september time?? There are several tips that i will try from this discussion!! but waiting will be number 1 i believe doing some rats on saturday so going back to basics!! Reckon this will help?? Thank you everyone who has contributed.....And although he ain't doing it yet it ain't over till he won't go near them!! Thinking back to when i first got him at 8 months old he was a struggle to get him to bite a dead fox or hold anything!! So he has come along way, never expecting an out and out fox dog bu

Don't worry about the breeding he hasn't got the bollocks for it!!! he had one retained and hes not a dog worth breeding from Need to find someone with a good fox dog entered, my mates dogs had less As said before the reason i shoot them is its not running permission i have its lamping with a rifle as you get a very high percentage of kills with a rifle and this is on a keepered shoot!! If i make them lampshy then i'll lose it..... I thought the cubs would die a bit quicker so he could hone his style and get his confidence up then when he meets bigger foxes he knows how to kill!!!

they said on radio that it was up to 500,000 already!!!!

If he was jacking i would understand but he really loves to go into them, hard to explain, the other dog weren't running when he caught and killed one we were 200yards away!! he has been bitten fairly hard by 20 odd foxes and retrieved 30 odd dead ones, yes sometimes i do kill them!! lol he has only been into one unshot fox that gave a good run, i think what nijinski and MickC said is very useful and i'll be trying these.....the problem is i don't have running permission i have lamping permission to a gun and i'm sneaky and run stuff but not foxes, shame some people would cut their

he'll be 2 at beginning of august Its strange he won't throw in the towel and he's mixed it with 20 odd foxes now(i know this ain't many but) and got quite a bit of stick and always goes in hard, but doesn't kill he has killed once while running with another dog on a shotgun pricked fox and the other time the other dog was still on slip as somebody wanted to show the pup a dog going on fox and he killed it no probs got bit once and killed it second bite but when me and him just won't kill he hold and shake and bay and pull and nip like a baying deer dog......same when doubled up on deer wh

Just wanting to pick a few of the more experienced/knowledgeable peoples minds......I shoot quite a few foxes and use my dog to arrest any that try to leave the scene once hit!! BUT when they are moving he takes them with vigor really slams into them and shakes them a bit but he is sooo soft mouthed, he rarely kills them, he shakes for a bit then relaxes they bite him he lets go they move he slams into them and the cycle starts again....at one point tonight i had shot a dog fox and they are fairly large my way had been shot with .222 but the shot had clipped the wire fence and just to

Not heavyweight but top class british fighter ....calazaghe(spell) Now he is a fighter Audley's not got the kill in him, like a dog you can be good on paper but if it ain't in you to keep going when your body screams no then you ain't going far.....thats all tyson had , anger, aggression call it what you like but he was like a pitbull, no technical skill so a good fighter could unwind him but but he did keep going when it got tough!!!

fair point alistair!! just when i gat all the shit at work about being a 'p***y' (and i don't think i could be further from it-not that i would care either way but my family just isn't) and being told that lurchers are for pikeys and running dogs is a p***y sport then i got me thinking is it??? But anyway as people seem to read so much into everything....can a mod remove this at some point.....i can see people startin to row over it....and racism isn't good on the forum!! -
lovely sounding breeding Got any pics of pups parents and the litter bros....think that could be something along the line of my next dog

this isn't a like them or not topic....i genuinely don't care who is liked and who isn't!!! I would be perfectly happy to ask how many people from ethnic minorities hunt and use this site!!! No qualms either way!! Just finding out who the like minded people are, people are different we all know that theres no point ignoring it, but i don't judge people on who they are their back grounds, religions and race! If there up for the crack and into their hunting then we'll probably get along I take one guy out hunting who is black!! he's the only black guy i've known to be into hunting!! fac
