  2. hello im wanting to sell my hatsan escort magnum 3" its a synthetic version with 28" barrels . all 5 chokes and key in great working order , been used for rabbits crows pigeons , works very well . i not long bought this but lack of permission is a problem for me , the little bit of land i have the 410 is plenty , so im going to shoot trap DTL and need a more apropriate gun for club use . based just outside newark and lincoln . sgc holders only £195
  3. the next blanks are a type of stick tang , there is 10 of them , same blade profile , iv heat treated them and will grind them sharp , its going to be for you guys to take them to what ever finnish you like and think of ways to handle them , there quiet different . as i say the challenge should you choose to accept it ha ha will be to out do each other with handling and finnishing . keeps the comp changing . if this is going to be a regular thing il need to get more designs cut !! no problems with sending back guys when your ready , i dont know when xmass mail will start but its something

  5. i forgot about this thread ! update iv not had full choke in since i workedout the gun fit was bad . iv had an extention on it for weeks to . i agree about clays but funds and all that at the moment are prohibative . im selling the semi auto and going to buy a clay gun , and resume clay shooting which i enjoy i just need to structure my budget . today we have asked almost 40 farmers and nothing . so im going to give up wait till we move to a better county where things are a little more friendly !! re shooting im hiotting ground game perfect with it but its not for me . thanks for the im
  6. they will be turned round really fast from heat treating so its up to you guys when you send them back , your about 13 days into the month . 400 grit will be fine for pre heat treament finish i would say . il do some on my one tomorrow to .
  7. does any one know ginga jon personaly ? if so can you send him a text as his knives are finnished ! all the best , matt
  8. sorry guys iv just assumed you knew!!! what a dickhead ha ha im sure it will make a huge differance to the finnish .
  9. when your ready to send them just pm and we can organise postage etc . it doesnt take anything for me to do it , so i can do them one at a time . are you guys using the hard backing on your paper ?? it makes a huge difference if the paper is backed with something very hard like metal . you can press down harder and get alot more from the paper , when you get to fine grit you can leave the last piece of paper on and simply add the next over the top . also are you clamping it down ? i used a G clamp to hold down a length of 2x4 timber to the bench then another G clamp to hold the blank to t
  10. you could allways establish a uniform scratch pattern , same as beofe just use 120 grit paper . just do perfect straight lines from reccaso to blade point . its a dshame you got bored of it , you might wish you had got them out when its all done !
  11. scratch wise take it to 400 grit , then drop back to 120 , then work up to 400 again . you have got to be dead strict with the directions you move the paper . i dont think they look to bad for the time in them ! there is one or two emergency blanks if needed !! £300 back hander will get a full ground blank ha ha
  12. thats what my customer keep telling me time are hard, money is tight, and fuel is deer . and im no better of myself . the days of its only £30 worth of fual are over , it would cost about £75 in our car to get there and back , maybe more !! people are genuinely looking closer to home these days for young stock , its a shame when litters like this are available . maybe you should offer a lift to anyone that might be on route for you , can pay a few ££ towards fuel and you both get your pup !! worth a try will help 3 parties out guy with pups you on fuel and another fella with transport and
  13. so you should be that a veruy nice knife !!
  14. i usualy dont say this on threads they look really nice pups , look a similar stamp to the dam to !! im not in the market tho !! i cant beleave lurcher pups sit unsold for so long these days ?
  15. just some small die pins mate , they get really hot if you using a grinder and ruined apoxi adhesion , hard to polish to . i thought about it and could not soo the benifit to them , brass and ally both dont rust , they peen over when you hammer them , the same price etc . i had to say there is no benifit at all by using them i could see , and the work load is higher ! just my thoughts on it . ally miriors very well is easy to shape and afordable , brass is the same just has a classic look to it i think ? all the best , matt
  16. this is it exactly , they go through stages of oh no what have i dont this will never look right time passes you do alittle more and then its i cant beleave it looks so good . wait till you on polishing and micro scratch removal , it will transform it !! im well impressed so far guys . i like all of them !
