    Thought I would bump this post up as the show is this weekend. There are a few spaces left for the racing on the Saturday. On the Sunday there is straight racing in the morning - book in by 9.15am start at 9.30 Then a full lurcher show to start at 12 noon - With all the usual qualifiers. Any questions just ask! ATB Tom

    The lady who takes the pictures at coursing crew event usually posts on 'K9' I think this is very lenghty process so probably have to keep a look out and be patient for a few weeks. They are definatly worth the wait and she is very good at posting pictures of pretty much every dog that ran. ATB Tom

    A nice mixture so far - I am bored off work so heres a couple a of pictures of my small lurcher & her pups. This is Bella - 21" Shes got Deerhound,Collie & Bearded Collie in her mix. Picture was taken the day her last puppy went at 9 weeks old. I put a 22 1/2" w/g over her.- The pups have ranged in size and have thrown different sizes and weights at 6 months old. Here are the two fawn smooth pups - although look similar they are very different. Hopefully they should make between 21 & 22" This makes the pups around 7/8ths w/g. Although not going to be a small

    If the dogs getting on a bit I would rub down before and after work. Get greyhound rub for just over a tenner and lasts for ages. Luckily haven't had problems with cramp whilst out with the dogs - They say Tomatoes are good from preventing cramp. I just get 4 tins for about a £1 from local 'farm foods' or use the sardines with Tomato sauce.

    The pups that I breed from Bella will be 15 weeks tomorrow. There are a couple of people on here who got pups so thought I would post some pictures. The pics are of when they left our home to most recent. Black and white Bitch Smooth Bitch Smooth bitch x2 Parti colour Dog with his great grand dad Rough Dog who I sold through THL Now some pics up untill present day The bottom picture was Bella 9 weeks since she had the pups - unfortunatly she knocked her toe so she will be out for the first time at the weekend.     I was going to put a couple of pictures of Frankie on today - But as I got the day off. Excuse the photo upload Heres are the litter mates Granddaughter like Grandmother - ( Friend who has got a pup looked after Willow a few years back, her pup is already upto the old girls tricks ) Here is the other rough boy - also pictured with his great grandfather on the Dams, Sire side of the breeding.     I have recently had a litter from my little rough bitch. She had 6 pups - 4 went within 15 miles of me and one went to a friend in Wales leaving one pup left. This is the Dam to the pups Bella. Bella is 21" and weighs 27lbs. She will be 5 in October and is a pleasure to own. Working wise; She retrieves rabbits live to hand on the lamp. Due to size she has only retrieved everything else most seasons doubled up with either her litter brother or her Dam - Shot and retrieved. Her Sire was discovered at a show. Therefore we kept in contact with the owners and meet them at a couple

    Just before I left today I asked a couple of people about the dogs welfare. I believe it got stappled/stitched up straight after so hopefully nothing broken. I was watching the race but had my eyes on the leaders which were way clear - It got slipped on the left of 3 other dogs and ended up hitting a pole about 60 yards down the track on the right hand side, the track was at least 20 yards wide so quite strange. I only really realised once people ran down the track what had happened. Working, racing or a family pet, Not a nice thing to see. Fingers crossed it will recovery

    Just took some more pictures as they have just been wormed again. The pups are just over 4 weeks old. This is the biggest dog weighing in at 2kg The small smooth Dog - only weighing 1.5kg The rough Dog - weighing 1.8kg Black and white bitch - Weighs 1.7kg The two fawn bitches - Weigh 1.5kg & 1.8kg Cheers for Looking

    Cheers Bosun11 Never really been one for taking pictures of varied game, I am usally to hot and bothered or worried about making sure they are 'sound' and cleaned up well. I like to be honest about the dogs, the litter brother has a big down fall - he doesnt retrive, fault of my own. But cant knock him for his trying and has taken everything else. Hopefully pups should be fun for the new owners, hopefully might get abit more height into pups using a bigger dog - might get abit more sport

    Cheers Tomo. To be fair I havent got any good working snaps of my dogs. She has done everything doubled up either with her litter brother or Mother - shot and retrieved Her litter brother would of made the better all rounder out of the two. He does everything - shot and retrieved. Error on my behalf I never got him retriving so never seen his true potiential but still have some good fun with him.

    The sire is a racing W/G - I used a W/G to simplfy the cross. The sire seemed a nice size and weight to put over Bella. Hopefully pups get some added speed still Keeping some of Bellas stamina how much do you want for a bitch cheers mate Bitches were all gone before she was mated sorry what about a dog Sorry haven't put topic on here to sell them - Just see if people have got any experience with similar crosses and their views.
