  1. Think 70% of the pigdogs here have some sort of longdog in them, the longdog (roodog/staghound) have been hunting rough rocky brush and bush areas for hundreds of yrs on faster game than pigs, ground is rarely a problem for the runners here any more than other breeds
  2. The Black and tan that Gos had stolen came to my mind when I saw the photo, but I guess there are alot of bnt's stolen over there.
  3. Got their site but no email on it, Ive used the return addy from an email they sent me ages ago. Hope it will go through. Im away for a few days but if he happens to read this there was an order from Australia, its Western Australia NOT the A.C.T on the shipping address. Order name initials N.J
  4. Buggered up an address on an order- cant find a contact on the site, can anyone point me in the right direction?
  5. F&T ship to Aus no worries, Ive had stuff off them a few times. They seem fairly competitive price wise and have decent stock to save pissing around at different places. Shipping is the big killer but over a few traps its still cheaper than buying them here. I dont use dukes but plenty in the US seem to.
  6. Had similar to a stag I had about 10yrs ago, he went on to hunt for yrs until a hunting accident killed him. Had alot of runners with tears into the muscle but not majorly deep that you would never know about. All depends on what muscles are involved and how deep that goes. Seen plenty of pigdogs get ripped bad through the muscles and heal up pretty good with only a scar to show for it.
  7. What do you want from the pups. Are you keeping one back and what do you wish to do with it?
  8. 5/8 Greyhound 2/8 sal 1/8 Collie ?
  9. If its like here they dont count an on the spot fine like that as a conviction, agree with Hunterzero.
  10. Got a T3 here, great gun take it to work with me had some curry over the years, put about 1000 rounds through it hunting and shot pigeons through to camels with it
  11. Have seen the scott/hybrid type x greyhound and not bad looking dogs. Fairly racy. Got a half cross ambulldog x bull staghound here and she is very athletic, needs a bit more running dog in her for what I use them for. She is good style for pigs though
  12. Well this one aint got any balls, wouldnt see her saying something like that ever. Useless twat it is. They're all hell bent on letting more in and flickin it up further
  13. A beautiful book Darcy and a whole lot of cracking pictures. I too like a read but its not what I bought this book for- as the description implied when I bought it. It wasnt bought as a reading book like the others but a collaborated photo history on hare coursing Better than expected, and anyone owning any of those dogs featured would be proud to have quality photos as memory.
  14. Sorry to hear mate, devastating losing a promising young dog Ive got a bitch here that works to gun, will sit on the ute all night with her ears pricked while we are shooting. She was fine with fireworks, storms and noises. HAd the neighbours shoot some fireworks into my yard near the dogs last new years eve, this bitch panicked got her leg through some mesh in her panic and tore the inside of her front leg and some tendon She is now touchy with any loud noises at home (still ok with guns) and has gone from wildly scrambling up the 8ft tin if she hears thunder/fireworks to now heading to h
  15. A like having a read of your little adventures. Good to read someones enjoyment of their pup and not expecting anything of it.
  16. If dingoes are going to be protected over all australia I would know about it and be out of a job. Might just be Vic?
  17. Depends where you live to whether its legal or not and how the authorities could word it. Some states do have them protected/semi protected. A non-bull blooded stag/lurcher could take them. That photo is possibly a couple of litters of very young dogs. Not much sport in letting 2 massive dogs kill a bunch of pups. You can have dingo/wild dog killing lurchers/stags that are fine with other dogs. I wouldnt have one as a pet nor would I cross one into a lurcher line. They are their own dog and I guarantee we would clash. Dingoes are a problem not just feral dogs.
  18. seen it a few times with peoples dogs that werent fit enough for the work they had done. Panting and collapse but recover over a period of half hr. Wouldnt hurt getting his heart checked but if he isnt fit enough Id say thats your drama. I'd try him when he is fit, not carrying excess condition- which sometimes doesnt take much in a running dog to affect them- and see how it goes. Get him running fit, everyday next to bike or car. Walking doesnt give this top end puff, plenty of dogs around here get walked for miles yet cant stick to a game of fetch for 5 mins i run my dogs in high tem
  19. There is a fella on here- Allgame- that has run a few of these crosses with success.
  20. Ive run em with kelpie and kelpie x's, and a border collie solo. Mates little kelpie/grew finds and catches them week in week out, small to 100+kg pigs.
  21. Credit to the bloke for doing the right thing after he'd bought her- to return her. Well done
  22. Very nice for 10mth, exactly what you'd order from a dh / gh mix. How tall is he as Charts bitch is a good size already
