I cant believe this show tho, complete and utter retards the lot of em, if it wasnt serious it would be a comedy, n talkin about money, no wonder diesel is so dear, gas n electric goin up all the time, insurance up by 30% etc when there spendin all that money on shite on things like in that show, to the likes of other countrys such as australia, america even ireland we must be a complete laughing stock, this country really is on its arse n gettin worse by the day n the athorities are puttin there time n money into that shite, dont get me wrong theres some idiots in the huntin

    when i was a kid, hunting, fishing, dogs ferrets birds, were the only thing that kept me out of trouble, nothing else could keep me out of trouble. Excactly the same for me

    Bang on Skycat, rabbit is a bit lean for a dog that is out running a good few nights a week.........it was a post aimed more at chaps as they say "on a budget"..........it dont get much cheaper than free. As I said, I feed the chicken as well as all leftovers, raw eggs, fish.......all sorts. In the winter I make sure they get a LOT of fat on top of the meat as well. I bag up some spare lamb fat in the freezer, then when i give them a rabbit i pull out a few chunks of the lamb fat to give them with it.

    Just to give them a change mate, or if im low on the pasta n rice as we eat quite alot of that ourselves.

    I try to feed variety best i can mate, one day il give them raw like breast of lamb with some exta lamb, the next day a meaty chicken carcass, then the next day il make them a stew such as for 3 dogs, around 21b of chunks of chicken i just boil it for 2 minutes no more, i add to that pasta rice or brown bread, maybe a few bits of leftovers, some slightly cooked raw veg or a large cup of frozen veg, mix it all up n add some keepers mix they love it, so i alternate the above through out the week, i give them a kibbel/meat meal about once a week and they get offal about once a week also.

    Thats what i do lee i can get as much as i want, but each time i get it, it takes me about 2 hours to sort it all out ie the good from the bad, then theres the hassel of gettin rid of the rubbish once finished so its hard work really, but what i do get for the freezer really is top stuff and fresh.

    Just out of interest s c and i dont feed them this diet all the time just twice a week or so and i feed by eye but on average how much 'weight' of raw meat would you add to a cup of rice and half a cup of veg to a 25kg dog cheers It depends, minced or on the bone, what type of meat etc. As a starting point they say the meal should be about the size of the dogs head, if it looks lean give more if it gets fat give less.
