  1. 4s, not ideal but will do the job Im sure. They were the biggest in stock. Just glad to get some that cycle well. Cheers, TT.
  2. Hello mate and welcome. I'm sure youll find all the help you need here. TT.
  3. I tried to get the Remmys locally, no one has them, but I got Express 46gm mags crimp closed, which are about 5mm shorter than the 53 gm bbs which are rolled closed. These are cycling perfectly, happy days. When I can get a pic of a fox Ive used them on, I'll post it up. I'll keep my eye out for those Remmys and the 50gm Express and try them too. Cheers for all the replies. Yours in sport, TT.
  4. Lowa mountain boots, about 60 quid on ebay, best boots Ive owned including a £230 pair. Theyre really good, comfortable, warm, dry, hard wearing. I completely agree with deerman, lots of polish and dubbin. I dont buff the excess polish off and make them shiny, I let them warm by the fire and then apply the dubbin, again let them sit by the fire until the leather has absorbed it all. Great allround, value for money boot. Hope this helps. TT.
  5. Your a lucky man apollo, having these for sport. Good job. Cheers, TT.
  6. Hello mate and welcome. Nice looking dogs.
  7. Hello and welcome, are you a part time super hero 'ANALYTICALMAN'? LOL. Hope youve a good time here, youll certainly find all the help you need. TT.
  8. You like your sport Ianb. Nice job, I wish I had the amount of Deer you have over here. Cheers, TT.
  9. Cheers for that. It has been the Express 3in bbs that ive been trying. I'll try the Remmingtons asap and stick the results up here. Thanks again. YIS. TT.
  10. The problem is the length of the shell, not the gas system. Its only crimped cartridges that I have tried and Im wondering if 'rolled over' cartridges (if thats the right term), would work better? Peashooter is on the money as 31/2 chambered guns ejection ports are much bigger, I just fail to believe Beretta would manufacture a 3in chambered semi auto if you cant get 3in shells that it will comfortably cycle. Cheers TT.
  11. I shoot a Beretta AL391 Teknys semi-auto which is chambered for 3inch Magnum, however any 3in Magnum cartridges that I have tried wont clear the ejection port cleanly and this creates a stoppage. Has anyone else found this? Can anyone suggest a cartridge whose empty shell doesnt lengthen considerably after firing, as this appears to be the cause of the problem? Cheers, TT.
  12. Good man, look forward to the pics, welcome. TT.
  13. Foxes have been known to take hedgehogs, they annoy them until they curl up into a defensive ball and then push them into water, when the hedgehog opens up the fox grips its stomach and eats it. Never seen it myself but Ive heard of it before. TT.
  14. Hello mate. Hope you enjoy the site. TT.
  15. Hello Alec, good hunting to you too. Welcome. TT.
  16. Very true DS, its back to argument of all things in balance. What is more valuable a Salmon population already under pressure, or a mans livlihood through his stocked fishery? Salmon for me every time Im afraid, but then again Im not trying to provide for my kids by selling daytickets. Neither was the knob who relocated the Otters, may I add. So what is the answer? Pest control and habitat improvement, until the population finds a natural balance? Bit of a pipe dream for the time being unfortunately. TT.
  17. I know a guy who had Otters taking Rainbow Trout from his stocked flight ponds. He live trapped them and released them onto a local Salmon river. How short sighted is that?! TT.
  18. Tried swapping them round too. Honestly, they were awful, worked for the first 2 sets then were just pathetic. It was only the spring on one door that was away, and the frame bore the marks from the way they had been originaly mounted, so it was easy to replicate. Ive ordered replacements from Atlantic Stratford on Ebay, so hopefully this will cure the problem, I ll let yous know how they work out. Cheers everyone, TT.
  19. Tried this with the second spring, didnt work. TT.
  20. Try a black plastic 3ft high bin for spuds if youre stuck for room. Drill a couple of drainage holes near the bottom and stick in few fist sized stones inside in the bottom. Stick 8 inches roughly of compost in and plant about 6 chitted spuds evenly into it. let the green shoots come up and once theyre up a bit cover all but the tip of them with more compost, keep doing this till your at the top of the bin. Then sit back and wait til theyre ready to harvest, youll have loads for very little space, time, cost and effort. Its a good project to do with your kids too. Use local spuds from a green
  21. What about Mead? Is it as handy? Used to dring Poteen flavoured with brandy balls, but cant get it anymore. This home brew thing sounds like it might worth a go. Cheers TT.
