    after 35 years of married life ( and in the region of 100 dogs in 40 plus years ) this is the first dog we have ever had in the house, you really get to know them, when out working he gives 101%, i would not have kept the lurchers in the house cant stand dog hairs, no loss of hair with this boy

    SOME PEOPLE BELIEVE SOME S8IT, WENT OUT WITH A VERY WELL KNOWN DOG AND OWNER SAYING HE NEVER MISSES MUCH TOOK HIM ON SOME PERMISSION ( FEN LAND ) HE CAUGHT FCUK ALL, SLIPPED THE BITCH RUN FOR 3/4 MILE IN STRAIGHT LINE HARE TURNED RIGHT ANOTHER 1/2 MILE HARE WENT TO THE LEFT ALL HE KEEPED SAYING WAS WAIT TILL SHE GETS THERE,NEVER GOT A BEND, FUNNY HOW THEY MISS THEM WHEN THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE THERE, BUY THE WAY JANUARY JACK WAS THERE AS WELL HE ALSO CAUGHT SWEET FA

    i lamp a bedlington not fast enough on green paddocks , but if i run him with my mates lurcher when bending them hes right up there at them , where i run ie sand dunes hes OK,only yaps now and again, not bad at coming back just got to keep on top of him , i use him for bushing rabbits to the gun hes 100% at that

    Dan, there's been people on here said their dog had a 20 minute run, (!!!!), on a fox; Christ, I would have went to the pub and had a couple of pints, then came back to see the end of the course ! The real coursing lads timed the courses, and a 2-3 minute would be classed as a "grueller" ! Cheers. JUST AS I THOUGHT SAT IN THE PUB TALKING ABOUT IT,WE CALL THEM ARMCHIAR COURSES Bigears, you can hide behind a user name, but I do more in a season than you do in a life time, lets see if your still in the game next year, or moved on to something else ????     WHAT YOU HAVE NEVER HAD ANY ONE SAY THAT A DOG IS TO FAST, IN 45 YEARS I THINK YOU MUST OF HAD YOU HEAD UP YOUR AR55 THEN MATE, THEN YOU SAY OK A GREYHOUND OR A NON PED WHIPPET WILL RUN ITSELF INTO INJURIES WHY BECAUSE THEY ARE TO QUICK,YOU WANT TO MAKE YOUR MIND UP MATE

    some like quick dogs others like a slower dog ( me ) some like plodders, that's why there are lurches

    2GOOD get yourself a copy of lucky the dark destroyer ( i am only picking this dog as most people of here will have heard of him ) this is what i call a cleaver dog, he used to stops his hare going were it wanted to go, he slowed it down to his pace, not like a fast dog who keeps on over running his hare and pushing it, a dog only has to be 1 yard quicker than the hare he is running, a hare will only run as fast as the dog behind him/her, you can not teach a dog to run like lucky used to run, or are you saying you can teach any dog to run like lucky?,
