  1. Cant find a pic of a samba on the net...Am i spelling it right
  2. Never had a look down a 4200 bushnell but everyone tells me they are very good. Was on the brink of buying a 6-24x50 before I bought the Sako75. As people have told me its too much scope for the HMR but it has a 30mm tube and you don't have too have it on full mag all the time. Do you buy your scopes from US, if so would quite like to know where from if thats ok. Not many places will ship to UK because of export law. Plus you have to do your sums before you order, credit card charge, delivery, plus import duty. Or find sumeone who is going over there and get them to bring one back!. Is the 65
  3. Dicky boy what mod do you have AGAIN...lol.. I`ll be Gettn one for my 6.5x55 soon...I just need to source a retailer that will supply the stealth in Rep of Ireland... You explained the recoil of the swede spot on Take it easy Dwight

  6. Tikka t3 lite in 6.5 x 55.. If you reload you can go from 100gn(possably lighter) to 160gn. I shoot one myself but its a cz. I chose the lite for yourself as you said you were after a light rifle.. If you can take one for a test drive i`d reccomend it for sure...There a nice cal. to shoot with power to boot...
  7. Take a look at the high end bushnells.. the elite 4200 and the new 6500.I have the 4200 6-24x 40 on my 17hmr with the mildot ret... And will be ordering the new 6500 2.5-16x 50 For my 6.5x55 very shortly.. The4200 was on my .223 cz 527 varmint untill i came across a nightforce nxs 2nd hand at a great price so i had to buy the 17hmr to give the 4200 another home... There a great scope for the price..
  8. Id be pretty pissed if i paid 500 squid for an air rifle and it wasn`t reliable.
  9. i did that when i bought the logun a couple o months ago, and we just moving house so cant really justify spending much. i told her my logun cost 150 quid, when i actually bought it for 500. but thanks for your advice fair enough..Im not into airguns myself but goodluck with it... Could you not trade it in for a rimfire..Anything CZ wont let you down... Just a thought
  10. Ditch the girlfriend..Or lay down some ground rules..Guns first...Bills second..

  13. Mycz 550(6.5x55) and 527(223) both shoot factory load hornady v-max and fed powershock very well...
  14. Nice one John...Were can i pick up one of those trail cameras from?Im in Tipp...
  15. Same as you Dwighet I'm using Moly coated Hornady Vmax 40 grain BT rounds. I'm getting between 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch groups at 100 also, being perfectly honest most are closer to half inch. Not yet had an oppertunity to try them at 200 yards but I'm confident they'll be very good If you've not used Moly coated bullets yet, try and source non moly coated bullets first Im sure i could get better than3/4inch groups with the v-max but 27.50euro a box is to much coin to be wasting on putting holes in paper..Thats what i got while zeroing the rifle.I`d rather spend it on putting holes
  16. is that in a 223 mate or a 22/250 ? 223 Jamie..CZ 527 Varmint
  17. 40gn hornady v-max factory loads i use at night for the fox...5.5 inch drop at 300 when zeroed at 200 with 1 inch over at 100....3800 fps.... 1/2 to3/4 inch groups at 100....
  18. rimfire for the bunnies(22lr/22mag/17hmr)17-24 cal centerfire for the fox.It also depends on which part of Ireland you live for the centerfire rifle. I live in the south so anything over 223cal i need a deer licence and anything under i need either to be in a gun club(game) or have 2 written permissions from farmers. Grey crows and maggies are considered vermin down south so if there on the ground and its a safe shot...BANG.. rgds Dwight
