  2. Hello and welcome. Just a little curious, How does putting your ferret hutch in an amongst some trees give them more space?? Wouldnt the hutch itself be adequate shelter??
  3. Wh 98 One of the best springers i have ever had the pleasure to own. The only downside with this rifle is the length. If you are of a wee stature, you will have difficulty in getting a good balance with it. My shooting buddy has a venom tuned webley longbow and thats not bad either.
  4. We know how the dog is bred mate To clarify, the pup is only 6 and a half months old. Stavros. Look mate, have a little paitence. Carry on running the bitch and you are going to ruin her. Dont need to say any more. Good luck with the bitch. Atb

  6. Wrapping it in bacon and cooking, for the dog Why not just go one step further and add some red wine and shallots. Dont forget to get the seasoning just right
  7. We have 3 cats, 10 giant african land snails, a south american redfoot tortoise and a fish. The fish i am afraid isnt anything special, just a minnow from the local river that the kids insisted we took home and kept, had it for over 3 yrs now.

  10. There was a thread on here a little while ago, do a search. The conversion is possible with some degree of fettling. They do generate a fair bit of heat but an amazing beam. The thread was from an american forum on lights/lamps. A good read if you can find it
  11. Now thats some real bling. You are da man
  12. I am very tempted to take you up on your very kind, genuine offer. But i will wait, maybe set too with my gold pen, Im not going to be bartered down by you, im holding out for a real tenner
  13. I will swap you the webley im selling, I know there is no bling on it but i do have a gold coloured marker i could possibly use. I will even throw in a tin of pellets.
  14. Webley excel carbine for sale. .22, Walnut stock, carbine version with webley silencer, Simmons 3x9x40 scope and gun slip. The stock has 2 small scratches on one side and the barrel has a small amount of blemishing on it. Very minor Other than the above this rifle is immaculate. I havent put the chrono on so i dont know what its putting out, but it all feels fine to me. Would make an ideal starter rifle. I am in keighley, west yorkshire. £110 plus postage Please PM me. No messers.
  15. Have you got the spring out safely?
  16. Nice hw 98 matey One of the best springers i have ever owned, Gutted i sold it Nice shooting
  17. Other than baiting as already posted, you are then moving towards decoys. Either the species type you are targeting or perhaps a bird of prey decoy placed within a baited area. Full decoys are relatively cheap £2-3 each or just shells, even cheaper at say around a pound a pop. If you are unable to purchase half a dozen of the cheap shells then your only other option is to make your own. This i belive is hardly worth the effort. Making a mould then casting from it with papier mash and a good amount of pva glue, painting it then applying a good varnish. For it to only last a limited amo
  18. How sensetive do you have the trigger set? Try wrapping your cage in a smaller gauge mesh or placing a bed of loose sand around the cage, you should hopefully be left with some identifyable signs/tracks from your bait thief. What gauge mesh is your cage made from?

Your stick should be allowed to dry naturally for around the 12 month mark, i dont think there is a general rule as all woods are different, Holly is a very dense and heavy wood, so if dried out too fast has a tendancy to spilt on the cut ends. Candle wax should sort this out if you notice it happening, it wont stop it splitting but it will help to slow it down (drying out too fast) and stop the split from creeping further down the stick.( this applies to all woods ) Dont force dry. With the holly wood grain being tight grained, you will struggle to remove any serious dog legs as the
