DICKYBOY.
if your having a custom rifle built for foxing and a little target work i[and this is personell]would not have one chambered in 222/223.the expense for a custom job will not justify those calibres.you want to go 6br if you want to shoot 65gn plus bulletts for longe range work.22br for up to 350 yds,20 br for same any 20 calibre rifle on the custom scene will do to 300-350 yds.even 22-250AI for long range.as for actions why get a blueprint job when a custom will cost a bit more.
barrels any good barrel from shilen-pac- nor, kreiger bartlien. will do the job plenty of stocks to choos
I am looking for a patterdale pup that has come from working stock to be mainly used on rats i am in leeds
so if any one does have anything could you pm me thanks

strip the magazine out clean the spring and pull it out to make it slightly longer the feed ramp will hopefully sit up a bit better and load your rounds easier you may have to do this once or twice to get it right.

JOHN.
excellant write up i like the rifle had a remmy 223 many moons ago good guns.one tip if i may_if you put mollied bullets through the gun it can take a good few rounds till your rifle is bedded in with moly[i mean of course the barrel]if you then decide moly isnt for you its a pain in the arse to get out .the moly does up your velocity though and will tighten your groups up.
keep us in the loop.
DEKER.low velocity rounds ie:22rf short cb:s etc only deform at low velocity when they strike/make contact with a solid object they do not disintergrate.on the other end of the scale high velocity rounds of the type v-max and the like will disintergrate when hitting a solid object .this is what they are desinged for.i have a 17 rem that i shoot nothing but 20 v-max through it, its chronographed at 4350 fps when this even hits grass it breaks up into small fragments that are less destructive because they lose velocity so quickly.i use this combination for foxes because a lot of the land i shoo

SKIPSTER.
the 525 and the berreta will hold a better price if you come to trade in at a later date.iv got a 325 which is the grandad to the 525 my son has a 682 and both guns are used for pigeon, clays, game shooting both are all round guns.you wont go wrong with either.if you have already handled a 525 then buy the one your happy with.either gun will come with good warrantys if new so the choice is yours!
enjoy whatever,
a mate of mine had one on a 222 it wouldnt hold zero the elevation adjustment was faulty so he took it back to the gun dealer and got a zeiss.personally i wouldnt put one on any of my rifles just my opinion.
