  3. now that looks moor like a g/hound ferret It', a shame you don't know how to pick it up
  4. I agree Kay, i think its from the american stuff. They get them use to such things as duck soup and baby food from day one.. because they have so many health problems and poorly ferrets there. They often are too ill to eat proper food and most of them have never seen raw meat. They seem to think it has too many bugs.. bacteria and the like.. just go's to show the shit some people write.
  5. wilxster it sounds to me like you are in a very fortunate position where you are able to start your own line of lurchers.Just think about it, won't cost , 4 of the best breeds to start, the pups wont be the best there is so give them to your mates and keep back a bitch and breed that to a g/hound /whippet.The pups from that will be much better quality, the possibility's are endless and most important of all YOU will learn along the way.I know what i would do and it wouldn't be taking notice of a load of pikies taking the piss.Do what you want to do and enjoy your dogs
  6. Put a picture up mate lets see him and then we can advise
  7. Mustaches were a big thing in the forces because it was the only bit you were aloud to grow. So I grew one when i was 18 I've had one since 40 odd years. I cut it off once and it looked like i had a deformed lip So it stays : :drink: :feck: .

  10. Good advice and let it smell the back of your hand where it cant get a hold on you Agree with that. Offer the back of your hand and pick him up with the other whilst hes distracted, but dont ever snatch at him. Good luck. Forgot to mention TALK to it let it know who you are,

  17. Not mentioning any names but i have permition on a certain estate in Berkshire to control rabbits i am not aloud anywhere near the place when he visits a certain lady.I hate the twat and have never bought a record Evan in the 60's
  18. Magwitch I wish i could let you see my g/hounds I lost the strain 30 years ago when i left the army and my dad who looked after them.I got my first off a miner mate of my dad's nearly 51 years ago when i was 8 in Nottingham.G/hound fert's today are rocking horse shit , the nearest i can get to them for working ability are polecats, lean & fast.I only have room & work for 4 so they've got to be good.1 is a BEW still a polecat the only reason i have him is he was being mistreated. Anyway I was not trying to knock your ferts .They are not what i was dragged up to believe was a g/hound
  19. The albino hob is from a very old strain of greyhound ferrets the kit resulted from a mating to a small BEW. So the albino hob had nothing to do with the breeding of the tiny ferts.I can assure you that he has lost all the looks of a g/hound.I'm not trying to belittle him in any way but a g/hound fert is about 2 1/2 times his build and the head is very pointed not so blunt as the old fella. My opinion your small ferts would have no place in my team. But I could find room for that BEW he has the right shaped head for me as has the left & right of the 4 kits shame about the size,my
  20. Magwitch the fert in the background to the small polecat is a different fert to the one you call the Old Fella .Are these the small ferts you call greyhound ferts??
  21. Nope, she wasn't a poley. She had quite a bit of white on her. Most likely some albino in her background somewhere, but I never knew her parents as I got her off someone that had taken some eccess kits of a breeder - from working stock. Oh, and those rosettes.... Did wonder whether I should dare put that picture on here And yes, they were some that we'd won at a ferret show I've been sitting here trying to work this out , "she wasn't a poley, she had quite a bit of white on her" No I'm lost good luck with the Ferts. By the way I've got a Black eyed white hob the best
