Piss off Munro Man............. Now that's below your normal standard Mr Sporting Agent, shame on you. No doubt the next comment will be from Ms Andrea or one of your other chaps. Write constructive posts or interesting threads instead of jumping in with one line insults or put downs will you. I'm sure your profile says you are over 18, yet there are guys on here in their teens that provide more interesting and constructive posts than you.

Unfortunately I didn't make it but I transported a rescue lurcher up there the following day to the person that runs that particular rescue and got the lowdown and lots of pics. If they do it again I will try and go as it looked like a brilliant night! Who else performed? I forget now. I hear Clarkson's speech was worth hearing. Yer man from The Who, Suzzi Quatro, Steve Winwood, Clarksons speach was great; well worth the money even if it was a bit expensive.....a bloody good show! -

Paxman is big into fly fishing yes..... .....this is all making my point much clearer. We have come up with close to 20odd names, and I'm sure with dogging we could get even more.....Ben Cohen, I know there are one or two more rugby guys too, Rob Wainwright....... ......but even we are having to scratch our heads to think, should these guys maybe be seen as supporting what they believe in?? Ok the likes of Clarisa and William and Harry are a given, but the others? -

She keeps changing her mind by all accounts, but she does shoot and has a shoot on her estate, and Guy grew up on an estate down the road from be in Shrpos. Jamie O loves his shooting..... Forgot to add Ian Botham; he's just spent a fortune on a mached pair for him and Liam his son from the Browning Custom Shop! -
This is a list of just a few celebs who support and participate in field sports, some openly others less so. Elle Macphearson Elizabeth Hurley Susannah Constantine Jamie Oliver Madonna Guy Ritchie Eric Clapton Robin Cook Jeremy Clarkson Vinny Jones Phill Spencer Phill Vickery Clarissa Dickson-Wright Mike Robinson Not to mention Lt's William and Harry Wales We all know about the number of politicians and celebraties who endorse openly anti field sports views and in some cases even donate huge amounts to the cause. Should the celebs on our side do more to show their

It makes me sick, it really does. You may have seen a number of recent post I have made on the subject. I wholy believe the services, but the army in particular are treated with contempt by this excuse for a government. Been there, done it and from my experiance weather you have pips on your shoulders or stripes on your arm it makes no dif; all treated with contempt. I hope everything gets sorted with the house and more so that everything goes well with regard your foot. Who do you serve with? PM if you prefer.

Jeep Cheroke or 300tdi Disco
The Sporting Agent replied to The Sporting Agent's topic in 4x4's, Quads & ATV's
Thanks guys; much as I expected. Everything I read seems to suggest the Jeep is the better buy, but everyone I speak to says the Disco. Had considered a 4Runner/Surf, may have to look that way. Shoguns for the budget temd to be shagged from what I've seen but I'd certanly consider one if I saw the righ one. As for a Land Cruiser, I just can't see any decent ones for £2k, to be fair they just hold their money too damn well! -
Does anyone know much about the old shape Jeep Cheroke? I'm looking for a 4x4 as a 2nd car for the Mrs, needs to have a second row of seats, be reletivly "economical" (between 25-30mpg) and be able to eat up miles as it will go on the odd long run up and down the motorways picking up and delivering dogs for a rescue..............oh, and be no more than £2k really. Been concidering either a 300tdi Disco, plenty in good cond with high miles and I know they will do over 250,000 miles if looked after; but also tempted by the older square shaped Jeep, I've looked at a few on P/R reg plates

need a bit of help
The Sporting Agent replied to RichardC18's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
That is just so not true. Sure, ammo for a 20g costs more than a 12g but it's not true that you can not shoot ducks and geese with a 20; I use a 20g Smith & Weston Semi Auto and its a bloody great gun for this type of shooting........using non-toxic loads you have to expect to spend a few quid in a box of 25, be it a 12 or 20! -
Have you swallowed a dictionary..........lol Wait until Ratman has a look at his spelling I know......I really must take more care when rattling away on the keyboard

i agree i don't believe Anti's care and enjoy animals all that much, i believe they enjoy violence and use their so called beliefs as a cover for causing trouble. However, as you say, many are not quite as loud about their beliefs when they are alone without a gang. The lot of them need a bloody good I have no problem most people who have their own beliefs, weather they agree with me or not, but when they are violent, won't listen to reason or facts, act illegally in persuing their goals then they are nothing more than terrorists in my view.

"White" New BBC2 season of programes
The Sporting Agent replied to The Sporting Agent's topic in General Talk
Sounds an interesting topic; If one that could be made to swing a whole variety of ways. Certainly sounds to have the potential to spark debate. Sadly, owing to the underlying nature of this place? I can see this Thread lasting about 'five minutes' i think your overjudging that time by at least four minutes ditch........... Been here at least 6 minutes so far!!!! Seriously though, I did not start this to be a racist thread, bashing or insulting anyone, its specific to a series of television programmes on the way. Purely because it is in relation to "race" does not make i -
when are you and your 'friends' actually going to post some proper hunting topics FJager, I'm pretty sure you are including me in your fable so for my part I must offer profuse appologies for being remis in not understanding the "quota" requirement for there being a minimum prerequesit for hunting specific threads or posts in the other forums as part of the basis of membership to THL. I have recently started threads and added posts to other threads in forum sections on topics from 4x4 vehicles to rifle scopes, shotguns, ammunition, gamekeeping and land management courses, how to get ex

We used to use them as work vehicles for events, towing trailer and kit all over the UK. We used Frontera Sports, the newer shape. They are up the miles, took a bit of stick and were never a problem off road (mostly in fields etc). I'll be honest we never had a problem with them. The only minus points, and they are personal are the ride was a little soft and wobbly and the seating possition was too £feet forward" like a pick up, as oposed to sitting up "feet down" like in a Land Rover or larger 4x4. All in all; not really designed as a worker, but certanly much much better than they a

Does anybody know if there is any tracer ammo available in the UK for shotguns? I know Nickersons used to make some but have not for a while in partnership with another small munitions manufacturer. As I understand there was only one firm which held the license to manufacture tracer for shotguns and that has now either closed or been bought out and does not exist. Anybody else have any info?

Chichester College
The Sporting Agent posted a topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
I was just wondering if anyone here had been on any of their short courses in shoot managent, shooting assistant (loader), perst control, shotgun coaching etc and what you thought of them? I know the courses are regognised and awarded by LANTRA, just wanted an opinion on the courses themselves?
