  1. Winter winter winter!! Love the changing of the season from autumn to winter, the sharp cold, crisp frosts, clear skyes and of course the snows.........we just don't get that much of it these days! :-(
  2. Get a grip man. Now you are saying Anrea and I are one in the same person.......? If you realy are that confident in your covictions, on that point and others, I'm sure the Mods and/or Admin would be able to cast light on that for you? You just spoil for an argument. I admited I was wrong in missreading a point in one of your earlier post, why do you not acknowledge when you are? And my PM to you, a smiley face and a wave, whats wrong with that, just saying Hello before all this bicthing started. Just as you said Hello in my comments box, nothing wrong with any of that.
  3. me do you have to take everything in such a synical way or is that the way your mind works? I apologise i missread what you said about my mil experiance, as for offering a forum members son a job in HE; there was a hint of sarcasm in that offer, i.e a joke; and I'm pretty sure thats how everyone else took it. Its hard enough for genuine guys with experiance to get work! Surely you would know that? Why is my picture, and my red Mountain Hardware t shirt such a source of concern to you? Surely it is irelevant on what post you first saw my pic? it was my Avatar for goodness sake, it has nothi
  4. At last, a genuine reply to this fairy tale, no need to apologise FJager, it needed to be said. Some people actually belive the multi faceted Lord B actually composed the original post, he/she did not, it's on just about every forum on the web. I'm not sure, but I don't think Lord B actually said he did compose the original post in the thread, he may have just cut and posted it, he doesn't say one way or another. If like you say its on every other forum on the web that is highly likely; does nobody else cut and post or repeat information they see elsewhere???? How else does news and op
  5. Gosh I'm genuinely ssoooooooooo sorry to have upset your sensabilities; as for the t shirt if I'm not alowed to wear it on holiday walking up a hill then I once again am just ever so sorrrrrryyy! You are so right on all counts, you really are. The telepathic way if which you are so certain that picture was taken in conflit zone......absolutely amazing! My lack of military service, again, WOW just amazing how you know that! I thought maybe you had read that somewhere, like other posts here that do mention previous service.......but then I remembered; maybe reading isn't your strong po
  6. i heard about this, but i believe many of the Springers had undocked tails so i presume (I may be wrong) that many of these Springer’s had not been bred as working dogs, rather, as pets. I believe Springer’s along with Labs are in the top 10 breeds of dogs being rehomed. Many people get these’s dogs as cute pups without the understanding of how much physical and mental stimulation they require, pretty soon these pet owners can’t cope with the destruction dogs cause, based on boredom. That’s why i believe working dogs should be worked, or at least given the stimulation they require.
  7. OMG Unscrupilous breeders, the lot of them need shooting themselves, the KC not much better. Another big problem in my book is people who have a litter just to get one pup, what happens to the rest of the litter? Sure some nd up in decent homes but not all, especially those last few to sell....... I've seen this first hand, my Mrs runs a spaniel rescue. Last year they had over 250 dogs in, in December alone there was 1 each day and so far this year has been one per day also! Most of these come from breeders selling indescriminatly and not explaining to potential owners how much work, energ
  8. I'm teaming up with some ex-army guys (Lord B one of them) to raise money for the Soldiers Sailors Airmen & Families Association (SSAFA) and The Childrens Society......... We are putting together a challenge we are calling the 7x2 Challenge. We are aiming to climb the 7 Summits, the highest summit on each continent and reach both the North and South Poles. We are planning on doing it over a 3year period (due to the short seasons available) starting with Aconcagua in South America later this year, and the North Pole next Easter...... The cost for each of us is roughly £120,000.00 (
  9. Did you read Robin Page's article on Bellamy in Shooting Times? Very interesting, talked about his fall from grace at the BBC (not PC enough).....
  10. I could find him work; 3 months in the Sand Pit and he'll soon learn what life is all about, scare him rigid too. Beat dangling him over a boats props........ three months wouldn't last three minutes Well, if he doesn't last three min its a bloody long walk home!!!! Maybe you should stick his name down if they do another series of Bad Lads Army.....
  11. ITS A SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS BUT HOW SO F**KING TRUE ! AND AS FOR IMMIGRATION WELL WELLDONE LORD B GOOD ARTICLE Lord B has pissed off due to a load of shite he got about this and one or two other posts; but its good to see how this thread has developed since he started it!.............
  12. The guy that getts my vote is Gerald Durrel; the guy is a legend. For anyone who doesn't know, read up on him and you'll see. The muppets on the BBC these days spout a load of liberal rubbish, the likes of Titmarsh etc....
  13. I could find him work; 3 months in the Sand Pit and he'll soon learn what life is all about, scare him rigid too. Beat dangling him over a boats props........
  14. Read FJagger's post at bottom of page 12.............
  15. What a load of absolute bullsh#t! There is nothing wrong about a soldier fighting for his country and beliefs, nothing at f#cking all. Try telling this crap to the lads on active deployment right now, and to the families of the not so lucky ones protecting YOUR free way of life. Fighting in a war zone IS normal AND acceptable, don't get on a public forum and say otherwise, show some RESPECT! ?????? What the You either really got the wrong end of that stick or just chose to ignore what Andrea was saying on purpose so you could spoil for a fight! I don't think she was in any way
  16. There's a question.......Is there a "Great" in Britain any more? Would society put up with compulsory military service or a conscript regiment within the army? With the death sentance? etc etc........we are so so "protective" of our rights and civil liberties in todays society that the "majority" would not put up with a system where real punnishment might work "what if we get the wrong person?" or "what about the rights of the criminal?" I hear the yogurt knitter cry....... WHAT ABOUT THE RIGHTS OF THE REST OF US?? Normal, quiet decent law abidind citizens? Afraid I just can't see it happe
  17. And his freedom for a few years too.......
  18. Thats what Night Nurse and Jamesons is for......
  19. Brush it on or use cotton wool. I used to use it on my own feet before TABing. Used to dab it on the areas prone to blistering, with cotton wool. Don't just imerse the paw/leg in it as this will dry it our excessivly and cause real irritation. Just use it on the pads and keep it away from between the toes....
  20. I'll call whoever I want a thug and prick. My making that comment was based on experianced facts bourn out in law. If you read any of the post in any threads that I have made you will see I'm the last person to condone slagging off and name calling. A good friend of mine has left this site for just that reason. But anyone who decks women, hangs children over banisters as a threat, lies, witholds money, fraudiulantly moves money that isnt theirs......is a thug and a prick. But you will please note that these fact are precisely the ones that are witheld, not as you suggested told to the child,
  21. You are generalising again. My partner is divorced, has a 4yo daughter and her ex husband was/is a thug and a prick. But we both (and my partners parents) do all we can to encourage a safe relationship for her with her father. Sure we'd much prefer there to be no relationship but that really is not fair on either him or her. We do not, none of us run about slagging him off to her, no matter what anyones thoughts on the situation are. Please do not generalise in this way. Invairably generalising is wrong and only ever supports the worst half or example of an anrgument. By doing what we are
  22. thats spot on mate I have to say I think these comments are harsh. Purely because they generalise and are a personal attack on the parents that have posted on here. Sure, I know many cases where these comments are spot on and have bourne true; but likewise many that are not so and would support the examples mentioned by Kay and Carper. I think the sentiment may be correct in some cases but not all and that each is diferant, and to generalise like this is wrong. To carpet everyone in a given situation in the same way is incorrect; I think by being as open as they have Kay and C
  23. Lord B stuck a really good one in the "living off the land" section, take a look. Pan fried breast with mushrooms, onion and creamy wine sauce..........
