  1. I think myself he no longer breeds plummers, there are dogs about with coalville blood in them just keep looking. There was a coalville bred dog in the cmw a couple of weeks back,i myself have a bitch with plenty of coalville blood in her and i can't fault her working drive. There are may i add plenty of good working dogs bred each year so don't get a bit kennel blind mate, the working plummer is on the up.
  2. Deden's do fix boxes, but as you have a broke box how do you know your collars are broke as well?.Test them with another box before chucking them, very rare for everything to stop working at the same time mate, would think it will be one or the other rather than both.I have a broke collar that only reads at half the depth with a fast click, same as a flat battery, but took them to deben's (only live a few miles away)and they tested them all for me(2 boxes,3 collars)cost me a tenner and they sent them back to me within a week.
  3. I'm getting the kids a anti for xmas if they break it it won't matter,i'll get them a new one on boxing day.
  4. My uncle used to be a balif near Amsebury wilts and he used to snare the pike that sat near a old mill.He used to take me weed cutting when i was a kid and as he was only little a big pike he would struggle with, had a long bamboo pole with a wire running up to his hand put it over thier heads and pull, used to work for him.Good old fella used to let the local kids fish but made sure they put them back, used to get loads of hippies swimming in the river when stonehenge festival used to be on but he never moaned thought of the river as everyones,he just looked after it.
  5. Seen some big fish in the avon in salisbury years ago.one of my mates shot another mate through the foot with a harpoon gun right next to the old hospital whilst trying for a sizable fish,he didn't have far to hobble they were stood under the road bridge for hours as well.Used to be a bit of a run every year now thinking about it,never took to much notic then.
  6. ive had a court for years but it needs to be more user freindly! This is mine,2 doors so they don't break out as i walk in,still the little buggers get in the bucket when cleaning them out,rip open the shavings sack and jump on you off the wire, still is really easy to keep clean and gives the ferrets as much space as they want,i have 3 litter trays down if they left me alone it would only take 5mins to clean out.
  7. Make it as big as you can with a outside run and a indoor sleeping area.Mine is a old avery with a shed put on the back, have had 13 ferrets in there.Have 8 ferrets at the moment and they love the space, would never go back to hutches.
  8. You still after a ferret or two?,am in norfolk near diss.(they don't bite,2 hobs)
  9. so i'm told it has a slightly slower knock.
  10. sorry was still typing when terrierman told you this.
  11. Have you got a mk3 set?,if you have the collar and it is not the long range one, then it will work with a mk1 box.It does not work the other way round though (mk1 collar mk3 box)
  12. Better than the Dorchester mate.Swings and roundabouts, anytime and the finders in the inner shed with the nets(just bring a spade)
  13. Used to live in Pembrookshire maltenby around StDavids, grand place to live mate, will be looking to move back that way sometime next year.Plenty of work for ferrets up there, get yourself a few mate.A few of the caravan parks have no end of rabbits around Newgale beach.
  14. Do you meen the ferrets?,but saying that they all do.Have used my ferrets to break a few pups as they don't just go for the pup but will give them a nip if needed.Socalizing animals is very important i feel so i do get mine meeting people and livestock as much as i can,my ferrets do meen as much to me as the dogs so i would not risk them with a strange dog or use them to break a adult dog who is a little to keen when they see the ferrets through the wire of thier court.I'm in Norfolk mate not far from Diss.
  15. hi maltenby if i was u i would just let your pup and ferret out in the garden and let them just see and smell each other ,just watch that your pup doesnt start too snap at the ferret and get to excited and if he does just say no in a stern voice and just scuff him to let him know your the boss . if your ferret is friendy he wont even bother about your pup but just make sure the pup dont stick he's face into the ferrets face and get bit .they learn pretty quick that there on the same side useally good luck I start by holding the ferret and letting the pup see that the ferret is friend not
