Well I wouldn't send my address to someone who could be an anti collecting information on fields sports supporters.

So what is that? A .22 rf subsonic is 90 ftlbs and the bullet is 40grn. 60ftlbs must be sending a 15grn pellet out at a speed that can't be quietened because it is supersonic. In that case a .22 rf would be a better option than a PCP.

What's the MV of a 15grm pellet with 60 ftlbs behind it. Must be supersonic!

I bought 2 dozen duck decoys from them about 2 years ago when the exchange rate was more favourable. Cheaper than buying over here at that time. Get a copy of GunMart and have a look in there. There's got to be a UK source. http://www.uttings.com/?Categories/Shootin...eSlingsSwivels/

Like the one on the right here? http://www.cabelas.com/ssubcat-1/cat20776.shtml

Like someone else's comment, not many small ones. There should be loads of youngsters about at the moment. That's all I'm seeing now, squeakers!

PM Crecca. I think that's his area.

Not entirely correct! Just keep pressing the combination.

To be honest, I would not feel comfortable advertizing the contents of my gun cabinet on a webpage that every villian on earth can view. You cannot hide your identity behind a username for ever.

Yes! There doesn't seem to be any standardization of FAC conditions wording from Police Force to Police force or even within the same force. The conditions on my FAC for .22 and .223 and Moderators mention 'land deemed suitable', but does not specify who should deem the land suitable. The conditions for the .270 and .308 rifles just mentions land over which permission has been granted to shoot. The .270 and .308 conditions mention target practice on approved ranges. The .22 and .223 conditions mention zeroing on 'land deemed suitable' but not use on approved ranges. At the top of b

If you are not very big and want a light gun, then buy a light 12 bore and use light loads. I see no sense in trying to put 12 and 16 bore loads through a 20 bore barrel. My 12 bore has 25½ inch barrels and is proofed for nearly 2oz of lead, but 1oz loads probably pattern more evenly, as 12 bore loads of steel in a 10 bore are supposed to.

Dog howling barking at night in kennel

Have her on your bed. -
The cubs around here are out and about on their own.

Could it be that it is the velocity through the barrel that is critical? A longer, and probably heavier, bullet will be slower through the barrel and have more chance of picking up the faster twist. I think some jackets of fast bullets get torn to shreds if the rifling doesn't suit. Just trying to apply some logic to the question! Having said that, what bullet weight did I aught to choose for my Tikka Varmint Stainless in .223?

I had thought that each special services person was allowed to choose their own weapons and that H&K was the favourite. Perhaps each unit chooses collectively, OR NOT.

I always had fox/deer/vermin on my .270 and .308 on my FAC. When I got it back last time I just assumed it was the same without reading the conditions(I've had a FAC over 40 years). A long time after renewal I was prompted, by threads like this one, to have a look. Fox/vermin control had been removed, as had shooting dogs and wild animals likely to endanger human life. Perhaps if I hadn't just acquired a .223, it might have been left on. Join a target club that do competitions for .308, then, later on, ask for fox control as a further condition besides range use. On the basis that fewer guns

The main thing that should be concidered in security work is reliability of the weapon rather than accuracy. Some pretty exhaustive US military tests a couple of decades ago showed the Beretta to be streets ahead of the rest and on a par with the AK47 rifle for not jamming. There might be something else nowadays. I had a Ruger Security Six revolver that was very accurate using .38 specials, but how often do you have time to take careful aim in a combat situation? The ex police marksman that we had in the club, swore by his H & K 9mm, though the knockdown power of a 45ACP would pr

I know someone who has a long magezine 12 bore in which he uses rifled slugs for wild boar. The police let him have it on his FAC specially for the job. He was using a .270 for it and says he wouldn't use anything less for them. He looks after a deer park(mainly Red and Fallow) and takes about 200 deer a year, so he has experience.

Do you really save money reloading?
rjimmer replied to danebrewer10's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance
Rather than a progressive press, think about 2 single stage presses. A heavy duty one for the resizing and a lightweight one for seating the bullet. It might save a lot of time for small quantities. I'm thinking along the lines of a Lee Cast Iron for the heavy and a Lee Challenger for the light. Don't know if the prices here http://www.peterlawman.co.uk/catalogue.php are up-to-date. As for the cost of cases, for .308 and .223, have a look at the Samson IMI factory rounds here http://www.gunshop-eb.co.uk/CF%20Sporting%...0Ammunition.htm and consider buying a large batch, if they are -
When I was looking for a scope, I looked through a 7x50 Swarovski and an 8x56 S&B. Not sure if the S&B was Hundgarian or German, but the smaller Swarovski's image was much brighter so I ordered an 8x56 Swarovski.

I got 2 kevlar replacement magazines for my Supersport Five from John Knibbs, at the gamefair, a few years ago. A bit of a tight fit but can be sanded down easily, as recommended at the time by JK. http://www.airgunspares.com/

Like hen's teeth I know, but I am looking for a Liver Flatcoat bitch up to about 15 months old, that is not wanted for Flatcoat reasons. People who know flatcoats, will know what I mean. I'm told there are some good ones in Norfolk. The best dog I ever had was a flatcoat that had been dumped in a kennel with her mother(due to marriage breakup) and needed some attention(don't they all) and responded very well to human contact. Willing to travel and pay good price for a good healthy(hips) bitch.

Kenzie Thorpe: Bought and read the book soon after it came out. Met the man himself on the Marsh outside his houseboat. Seen his domonstrations at the Game Fair. Just bought the book again (Tideline Books) and read it. Every hunter gatherer should read the book towards the end of the close season! Calling hares definetely works, I've done it. If you still have any hares, that is.
