    Out tonight on the chicken farm ,usual place and straight away there’s Charlie walking towards me along a badger track .On sticks ,tiny squeak and wallop he’s down .Nice sized dog fox .On a bit and there’s another just come into the field way over the other side about 400m .Wind was right so I had a squeak .Not usual for here as they get preoccupied looking for chicken that are unfortunate enough to get locked out .This green fox came trotting in like a dog and I stopped him about 100 yards to join the other .Long wait for the last customer but worth it for the longest shot at night to date .

    That’s why he comes on here ,for a bit of sympathy which abounds in us all .We must learn to take peoples feeling into account when replying to a post .Take me for instance ,the very model of a caring ,upstanding citizen who always thinks of others before them selves even if they are c**ts of the highest order .     Yep agreed Eddie .Im fascinated by mustelids ,always have been .Raised a mink years ago until someone let it out along with the ferrets it lived with .Got all ferts back but not the mink . Mate raised a stoat which was very tame ,actively sought human contact and would sleep on anyone’s lap .Years ago never thought to take pics which I guess is the case for many my age .Nowadays they take pics of the tea they are about to eat . Used to be a women next village to ours that kept mink as pets and a badger but she was a bit eccentric looking back and pulled faces at us kids lol. Wo

    Don’t take it too seriously mate .Im fishing most of the time on here .Sometimes I get a rise other times I have to change bait but either way it kills time between work and hunting .Katchum is the easy catch ,followed by his posse then Stevo . Getting bored with a few so blocked them . Can discuss sensible with anybody that wants to but I think in the main we have been infiltrated by non hunting arseholes that deserve the hook in the corner of the mouth from time to time .     Yes mate your right .Had a decent strain of ratting ferrets years ago from local lad .Before that they were very hit and miss .Mink seem turbo charged up to a ferret though even when the bloods up . Some of his methods are strange but you have to hand it to him for training mink and the lizard lizard .

    The axsor was the first pcp I had and put some gear away with that rifle .Loved it .Should never of parted with it .Only drawback is the regular blowing seals .

    I suppose the going rate is whatever you can get mate .Some folk just take first price given without shopping around . In the building trade I can’t be arsed to ring several firms to save a fiver so stick with the merchants I know .

    Good watch mate .Thanks for sharing . Son in law had an accidental catch few days back and it was accidental .It was in an enclosed dog walking area .Luckily he had decent camera though .Hares not too plentiful where he is .
