  1. Fair play that’s a good way to be. My grandmother used to make us sit and pray rosarys every evening when we were small and always told us we were to pray for contentment. That all any of us need
  2. No issue with peoples opinions here my man I thought there’s big numbers of British youngsters in Australia? I know of a lot of people who went to Australia for the two year visa and once they came home applied for a permanent one and have moved out started businesses and have no interest in coming back to Ireland now. It’s a lot easier to do business there I believe.
  3. Seriously bud I’m not interested arguing with you. People are just sharing there experiences and saying why they would or would not leave the UK? So far you’ve disagreed with everyone on everything that’s been said. Maybe just take a step back and listen to people who’ve been where you are in life some will have done better and some will have done worse but maybe you’ll learn something
  4. If that’s the reality you’ve come to live in that’s fine. There’s people breaking the mould every day and doing things different and better. You’ve made your choice and good for you
  5. No but what they can do is what most people I reckon here did. Buy a small place to start off and fix it up then move to a bigger place use the value to their advantage rather than wanting a dream home straight off the bat and being hoodwinked into crippling debt by fancy pictures and salesmen
  6. Funny how ya make up an image of someone in your head big harmless know it all
  7. A lot of this stuff is a frame of mind thing too. There’s people earning £40k a year and spending £45k a year and they feel like millionaires, everything on finance and credit card have all the pictures to prove they’ve really made it. Once something is 3/4 paid the bank will give them more and it’s probably all rosey until the day you can’t earn the £40k and the pension doesn’t cover it, no saving so then the banks game has really paid off they’ll take your house. It all depends how your reared I was in a house where once I had reached my mid 20s I had bought a house and was out making my own
  8. Good points Wilf but I think that most young people 20-40 just aren’t even aware of these things. Once you’ve been herded into the mortgage and the car and the holiday loan you haven’t really time to think about leaving something after you but hey you’ll look the part that’s all that matters
  9. Yeah that’s it bud it’s a single man’s game most of the people I’d know still at it haven’t families. My father lived away from us 11 months of the year when I was young but lots of men did it wasn’t that strange back then. I couldn’t do it personally but then I’ve probably had it a lot easier than he did
  10. If your a young man and work in construction I think it can pay well to move around after the work if your that way inclined and you like that lifestyle. London was always good if you can find reasonable digs and there’s still a good few about. Australia was very good but I think the cost of living has taken the good out of it. I know of lads shuttering in Dublin and they are on a better day rate than good guys that have been at it in London the last 20 years you’d of never thought that would be the case
  11. A lot of the youngsters here have been in Australia and Canada the last few years but most are back now that the work is here again. My own chap was in Perth then London for a couple of years but was always going to come home
  12. Better again buddy put the Bugatti on the back burner and drive the work dyna another few quid saved. When scottys prediction comes in you’ll be able to buy a couple of housing estates with your savings
  13. 20 years ago I’d of told you to send me on what you want and I’d have it for ya in a week for a decent price.. but being old and washed up I can say that it feels no different shitting on the gold one or the platinum one. And the white porcelain one is just as good
  14. f**k me I thought I’d the camera turned on for a second
  15. Poor sod is living under his mothers stairs I’d swear.. saw a few travelling lads out through the window with a saluki and reckoned if he had one of those they might speak to him.. saw the lad across the road with a new EV so dreamed up another dream.. heard a fella in the queue down the corner shop talk about a resin drive and his imagination went mad altogether. Ffs someone mentioned a scrap and he turned himself into big Joe Joyce. Mentally disturbed doesn’t even come close. The thought of anybody else having a few bob or after getting ahead turns him into a cursing insulting lunatic but th
  16. The sad thing is MC you’ll never find out
  17. Won a few lost a few but I never jammed myself into reverse when sent for you’ve a clear record in jacking
  18. f****r would be like the roadrunner
  19. Sorry now McHull but I’m dealing with travellers my whole life both English and Irish and none of them worth a bob would harbour a mouthpiece coward like the Gull one look at his shenanigans and he’d be burned off the site 100%
  20. Yeah this is it. I also think that throughout modern history you can see that when people came together with a strong sense of pride and community they had to be taken apart. Look at the miners and how they were made look by the media during their strikes? The catholics in the north of Ireland and how they were treated and made out to be? If the government gets a sense that people could stand up and refuse to eat shit or worse yet stand up for their neighbour they will rain hell down on them. The immigrant thing manages to attract all the hate while it quietly brings down communities
  21. That’s it hard hold them back once the time of year comes. I’ve mine on the road a couple of evenings a week and let them run over abit of stubble another evening will prob bring them for a hunt next Sunday just one or two covers will leave terriers at home for couple weeks
  22. I know f**k all about politics or how it all works but I just base what I think from what my eyes can see. I think some of the immigration manages to keep the likes of healthcare and stuff going young nurses and doctors just aren’t sticking around they don’t want to be taxed to death or pay £350k for a house. Then you’ve the hospitality industry that never stops cribbing and crying about VAT rates and everything else, they want to pay school children f**k all to work weekends and the only other people who seem to want that work is immigrants and that suits them to pay bugger all. The wealthy n
