Knew the name and that he was a footballer but can’t say I knew any more football was never an interest for me. Nice tales to hear non the less. Makes a nice change from rape gangs, bakery heists and invasions.
Great post. The day of the men who lived simple lives doing the simple things right safe in the knowledge their kids might be abit better off than they were. Simpler times and better men.
There’s one group around where I am they would be the originals I would guess they were pretty nasty were into protection rackets and stuff like that. I personally know of one guy that had a finger cut from each of his hands by them in the 90s something to do with selling diesel at the time. Still see all the party’s involved to this day going about there business
Come on at least admit you give considerable amounts of you time and thoughts to it. Ffs you upped sticks and left one place over it all and you do nothing only crib and cry about where you are currently and how it’s going down the swanny. Maybe your the common denominator
I think your mistaken most people don’t spend every waking minute of there lives engrossed in this stuff most people and out making there few quid enjoying life where they can and just getting on with things. You give it all too much thought. I just try and point out the fantasy of it all every now and again
No it was about if a ‘good old boy’ from Texas arrived in Islington he would be disgusted at what he would see. I’d just be of the opinion he wouldn’t give a shit because that’s what his own city probably looks like and every other major city he’s probably lucky enough to visit around the world. Most of those ‘good old’ oil boys more than likely sent there kids to London for education one of the places they’d all want to live is the very place you’d mentioned.
I don’t doubt it for a minute chartpolski. My point was if you talked to any Texans who’s travelled to London they would probably sing its praises as well. Despite the doom and gloom it’s probably still one of the most visited cities in the world. Islington might not be to everyone’s taste but try and buy yourself a flat there never mind a house. The facts are people are falling over themselves to live in these places they can’t all be wrong? Can they?
f**k it I think I am. Think I’ll go in to the bank this afternoon see what farms and contractors are in a distressed state financially and make a few offers. Bank manager might buy me lunch. Could get used to this. Fingers crossed diesel keeps climbing put more pressure on the lessers.
As I changed out of my riding gear this morning into a wax jacket and put my cap on and got into the jeep to go and look at cattle I couldn’t help but wonder to myself WILF. Am I now one of the good old boys?
Our ginnet of a leader just tried to say with confidence that there’s enough fuel there until the end of April ffs I’d say there will be shortages they are just afraid to spark any panic
