  1. Go and look at your fecking posts! You said we should pull out of the convention like all the others have done, what fecking others? Your words not mine!
  2. You used ChatGPT enough so I can't understand why you keep getting things wrong? Lol Most of those you mentioned haven't left the convention, they didn't sign up to it in the first place! Lol
  3. I don't believe that, that's stupid, how can you expect men to fix a problem if they don't have the military capability, don't talk daft. As for Albanian's, this is an example of something that definitely needs addressing, change the criteria where you can only seek refuge from genuine warzones, that's something, better than nothing, and a start.
  4. Tell me the countries that have pulled out of the Refuge Convention? And again, we could pull out of all these treaties but we were major players in creating the cnuting things in the first place! So, if we want to play hardboard we have to find a party that's willing to take the risk and a sure hit to our reputation.
  5. I don't reckon, i know. You can't have it both ways, you either believe that people should have the right to seek refuge or they don't? And who the feck are you anyway? You have clearly been on here before so would like to know which simpleton I'm talking to?
  6. It doesn't matter what people's opinions are, what matters is the reality of the situation. Unless the UK wants to tear up treaties that we helped create and risk sanctions, credibility, diplomatic relations, etc, then things won't change IMO.
  7. You are a little simple so I'll explain, seeking refuge is seeking refuge.
  8. Let's make it clear, many are abusing the system, but the one's genuinely fleeing persecution, do you really think that things will be so simple? And no matter how much it pisses people off, the Refuge Convention does not state that asylum seekers must seek refuge in the first safe country they enter. But, all these barriers could be mitigated if the UK really has the stomach to play hardball which I don't believe it does, that's a UK run by Labour, Conservative or Reform.
  9. What's the difference? We can't have it both ways, we either believe people should have the right to seek asylum or we don't? And if you don't agree then you don't agree with EU nationals, including Brits doing so during WW2?
  10. And many didn't, but that's not the point, don't confuse the right to seek asylum with our poor immigration system.
  11. Do I believe people should have the right to seek asylum, yes, why not? So you are saying that the Brits who lived and fought abroad during WW2 shouldn't have been allowed to seek refuge in safer countries?
  12. Sorry, I thought you was talking about my new motor.....
  13. That's not exactly true is it when the German population is almost 20 million more than it was prior to the war and you forget that Germany lost about 10% of it's population in the war.
  14. Exaggerating by bringing up extreme examples as though it's the norm when it just isn't. I'm pointing out that these laws were championed by Churchill and it was an initiative led by the Tories.
  15. Well according to some it does matter, but again, the boat crossers are a drop in the ocean compared to the legal migrants who are coming from lands that house all these paedophies and rapists.
  16. Now you are exaggerating, you know full well not all are like that no matter the headlines and hyperbole. I'm for a sensible immigration and asylum seeker system, and the latter needs some cooperation with the rest of the world.
  17. I've been quoted 4k for the patio with sleeper edgings and planters and 7k for the resin front.
  18. Wrong, there's a hell of a lot more legal migrants entering each year than the boat crossers.
  19. Law that's were brought in after the war and fully backed by Britain and our very own Winston Churchill may i add. If we want to go hardball, which I don't think the majority do, then we will have to face the consequences of disregarding laws that we helped create.
