  4. totally agree with eamon on this one, dont waste your time on one of them,it probably will never make the grade, buy a well bred pup of a genuine digging lad who works his dog's, even then your not garenteed it will work but your stacking the odds in your favour, good luck

    Badger

Mating season finished a long time ago round here. badgers mate all year round, the female stores the semen untill she is ready to conceive, around late winter to ensure that the cubs are born in february as spring is starting, this way a female can give birth to a litter of cubs that can be sired by different boars, this ensures genetic diversity and they dont become too inbred
  17. any FAILED worker would make a decent ratter
  18. A working terrier should go to ground, hence the name so any terrier that doesn t go to ground is doing nothing different than your average mongrel ratter. Totally different ball game a running dog is just that, a running dog bred to run down and kill whatever you hunt. Not even the same argument. totally agree with pip on this one,the title WORKER can ONLY be given to a terrier that goes to ground, and bottles up his quarry and stays untill dug, not a ratter, not a bushing dog,and not a bolter, they are all sporting terriers but when the shit hits the fan its only the true worker that wi
