Got to agree with wilf and DC on this one. Every single one of us hopes he pulls through because most of us have done stupid stuff that could of killed us or other people. But don't expect sympathy for doing stupid stuff

I'm not sure how this pigeon is still alive. The border has a pathological hatred for it....none of the others just this one. Even the lab has retrieved it a couple of times. We call this pigeon 'lonely man' as every time we get him a girlfriend he beats her up and shags her to death. He's now moved into the house and lives on top of the washing machine

I shoot about 1000 a year in local towns and only ever get a handful of rings off em. I found one sat on eggs on a window ledge and when I caught it I found a ring on it. I took it to a local bloke who races pigeons and told him he could return it to the owner as I had no room for it. He felt it and said "that's in good condition it's not been lost long". I didn't tell him it had been lost long enough to pair up and lay eggs in town! I've not seen him since to ask who's it was and how long it had been away.

I'd think peregrine's don't feed on ferals because the ferals are all at low level around towns and buildings. Peregrine's hunt from height and drop at high speed so they want their prey up in the air. Racing pigeons probably come through at just the right height

15 rings I've picked up in August from under a nest in the town centre. We onder why they don't catch the ferals that are there in their thousands

It's very different in my opinion. Since the dawn of time man has been accompanied by dogs. The ancient Egyptians had dogs that looked like running dogs and dogs shaped like Mastiffs, that was 4000 years bc. Dogs will die in their service to man, in protecting him or catching food for him. Dogs must be the only animal to wag their tails and run up to their slaughter man. Anyone who looks at a dog and thinks "wonder what that tastes like" is a rotten evil sub human shit cnut.
