    poaching

i must admit that even though i have the most permission i could ever need i do a little bit of poaching just for the rush when your chased
  2. hes only trying to do his job. he just was saying that people need to be more observant before they post
  3. Had a call from my mate today asking whether i wanted to go out this morning. so he picked me up and we went off to our friend Lee's farm where we knew we would catch 30 + rabbits. We got there and saw that someone else was out, and that perticular person gets a bit ratty if we go where he is, so pissed off we drove on to find somewhere else. We have permission for most of Bodmin moor so we just went to a few ground sets, etc. Armed with a load of purse nets, a 35 yard longnet a 12 bore 3 shot semi-auto camo shotgun and about 5 ferrets we walked about a mile to our first small set to start off
  4. I personally never use a locator and i dont find that its any risk to the ferret. It just means a long wait sometimes. If we have a good dog out with us he will mark the ferret anyway.
  5. calm down boys. Stubby a decent guy so leave him. Hes only trying to do his job as a mod
  6. good luck mate. I would have taken you if I was closer.
  7. I read it kay. Not sure though. But I think they can deffinately have 3 litters a year.
  8. well done mate. is that longnet traditional? and is that a trammel aswell

    RSPCA

they are a bunch of pricks if you ask me. On my uncles dairy farm they had a cow out in the field with really bad milk fever and needed putting down. they rung the slaughtmen and they say they will do it in 24 hours. the RSPCA trurned up and mouthed off and said that he needed to have it shot before the evening else they would see him in court!!! he swore at the quite bad and sed they could pay the f*****g vet to do it. which they did.
  10. they can breed naturally twice a year, 3-4 times under artificial lighting but most only breed once a year as its a bit unfair on the ferret to have to bring up more than one litter
  11. perhaps say you will post at cost?
  12. You may be right there stubby as i probably know quite a few more landowners than most. But twice i have had permission and they came and asked me whether they could let anyone else on the land other than me. I was suprised, after all its there land.
  13. will do. I just have to find someone over 18 lol. Do you know of Anthony Sleep? He may come as he does a lot of everything lol
  14. they arent done with a pen knife mate. DMs just managed to pick out the naff looking ones HAHAHAHA
  15. they are pointed and do the job they are meant to do. He didnt pay me for doing them but just payed postage. also you didnt half piuc out the naff looking ones DM, but I dont think they all look like that
  16. O sorry big bulls. I didnt recognise the name but now I remember. when will you start hawking? and Im in the st breward bodmin area lamping lurcher
  17. nope. I never have done before. IMO it works fine like that.
  18. haha. hilarious. Im gonna try to teach mine...
  19. well its a different story if your a northener...
  20. Ive been making them for people that cant find them soo easy. I own a good 30 acres of wood so can get as much as I like. Also i havent been selling them for a profit masmiffy all he did was pay P&P and i did it as it dont take too long lmao. Pleased your happy mate.
  21. glad your pleased mate Its not necessarily the time put in to actually make them but the time finding the right thickness and strength. Im pleased you got them that quick mate and if anyone else wants any I have 30 here packaged and waiting to go.
  22. Right. I have seen loads on THL about people finding it hard to get permission. I dont understand this as where I live people come and find you and ask you to do some rabbiting. so is it as hard as people really make out? i have never been turned down for permission and neither have any of my mates so is it just because there are more rabbits in cornwall?
