I would leave it mate, if your not prepared to put the time in. Ferreting is a very good sport and a very good investment. It is very possible to go without locator but not the best ways. Im sure one of the experienced ferreters will come along and tell you what you need to know

I have 9 outside at the moment. But would sugest maybe 2-3 if you arent going to work much

sometimes with people starting out. They dont know the sport well enough yet. So they ferret the burrie and if nothing appears in the next 10 mins or so. They move on. But it pays to wait. We were doing one a few weeks back. And the new person kept saying 'come on there is nothing in here' and I said to wait a little bit, and as it turned out that burrie produced about 8 rabbits. So just perhaps keep quiet and wait longer

If you like netter, when my money comes through, (has it??) and you send me the net, with a blank DVD, I can copy one that stubby sent me. Good and is all about rigging a Quickset. So might be useful. And if you PM MC on here, im sure he would do you a deal if you buy the kit off him. Seems pretty easy if you going to do it yourself. Also, i have a basket made by Molecatcher here and if that check doesnt get to you, I will swap it for that net.

No brim they dont plant hedges on top really. There is the odd patch of fuzz on them but thats it. But this farm is no point having my MK1 out as all hedges have wire along top and you cant get a signal. Bloody annoying so we can only use it on old banks on that permission

I havent got a gun yet. Still waiting to see if right one comes along mate. Your daystate would have been perfect though But I am hoping to find a cheaper PCP somewhere.

cheers hubbs. its real nice ground to work here. Just got to know the riht people and I have spent my life riding horses on the moors so I know it like the back of my hand and know where the rabbits are. Horses are very useful in that way

I call it a wall Brim We call them drystone types down here. But then again they get alot dryer But I think there must be one or 2 of the last set isnt there Karl, That is a a beauty to ferret and will make you jealous brim, as we dont have to walk to our burries

Dont do digging me Brim Yes Karl, it was a goodun except for that bloody silver of yours which lay up I keep a special line which never kills NOT. But we started off on that little set, with 1 rabbit to dogs, went on to next few sets and ended up with 3 more, then moved on to another hedge up top and got another 4 out of that was a good day and in good company. Will look forward to a day on the tree rats soon karl
