  1. why didnt he turn it down for you? was he actualy a gun smith? I guess he wasn't a gunsmith, the thing is the shop in question are very well respected in my area, also they have a few staff members, maybes it's the time of year or they just couldn't be bothered? I also have a bsa r 10 that was a little low at only 9.4 lbs with accupells and again they had to send it to bsa to have it tuned, this was under warranty. hi jin if you buy a rifle from a shop, they send it back to the manufacturer, because its still under warranty, its not there problem! it has to go back to the manufactur
  2. nice one buddy, and good reading to boot well done!
  3. its not a tune! its fettling Call it what you want but definition of a tune is to make fine adjustments to (an engine, machine, etc) to obtain optimum performance if you want to play on words and even Darryl called it his tune it is fettling end of,fine adjustments is right,re-greasing,de-buring,polishing is home DIY fettling. there is no lathe work involved in Darryl's tune, which all the professional tuners do,hence it costing ££££'s what darryl has shown is his way of fettling,i may stand corrected "but i doubt it" this is no where near as much work that a professi
  4. nice fettling buddy, and as shows via the chrono what can be achieved from a polish, and a re-grease going to watch it again,as had no sound keep the vids coming
  5. hi Darryl you need to get a cordless drill, its a lot easier.put the piston guide in the drill tighten chuck, wet n dry between fore finger and thumb, and squeeze the trigger slowly till desired polish acquired! the inside of the compression tube,go to a diy store ,buy some spare rad rollers, wrap the wet n dry around it,slide a 6mm threaded bar inside the roller, insert into drill bingo! all polished in seconds. or just buy a polishing wheel keep the vids coming

  14. hi taito it will depend on what you are going to use it for ? if you want one for plinking then get the 97 .177 if you want one for competition & hunting then the Chieftain is your rifle,i cant recommend this enough,a couple of weeks ago i hit 3 small disc's the size of a 5p coin @ 65yds in consecutive shots, last Sunday i hit 3 bottle tops at 65yds,in four shots there was a bit of wind, but still good consistency from a SFS tuned rifle. and my average HFT score has increased, due to using the Chieftain. first time out with it i got a 57 score out of 60, i average a 45 with the T
