  1. The purebred deerhound and the many strains of crosses bred from such a lovely beautiful looking animal are to certain particular field sports enthusiastic seemingly for some reason very underestimated in the field I personally feel strongly towards the criticism that sorrounds the requirements for such unjustified comments and base my opinion on the management of this running dog of my own trials and tribulations!!Strains and crosses bred from the purebred deerhound are those that are usually top notch workers and are fully capable of providing fantastic sport in the hunting field. The deerho

  3. The various strains of longdog/ hybrids in the UK are nnnñtnñ for ? no other reasons in so far as purely pursuing and catching their ground quarry in relatively quick time. Most strains of longdogs are those that are labelled (Catch Dogs) running dogs with the ability ? to pursue its particular ground quarry quickly and efficiently with outstanding strike thrust and electrical agility. The breeding ingredients used in order to produce the various materials used to breed these running dogs are by means of mating only sighthound blood and absolutely nothing more than that!! Some strains of th

Despite having a liking to The whippet x greyhound longdog hybrid i obviously have a tendency in liking various other longdog strains and lurcher types i like ? lamping rabbits but choose not to lamp hares my reasons are purely because hares are somewhat nieve and painfully panicky whenever a powerful beam of light innumulates them...alas i for one choose to allow hares to be ignored at ni
  6. who remembers Darren Gallagher and his saluki x greyhound longdog hybrids back in the days? This fellow field sports enthusiastic bred and subsequently produced ? some really top notch hare coursing longdog/ hybrids and was widely reputed as a breeding authority of the aforementioned longdog.Ive seen these desert strains on the Great peat fens coursing strong ? brown hares knocking them upside down in relatively good numbers. Now then I've noticed this forum to be somewhat bitchy by just a couple of enthusiastics who are evidently jealous and envious if someone ? has educated himself on a parti
  7. Yes I clearly agree with you that times have changed but having said that just like a boxer if he has achieved something in his career then it remains on his record and he can undoubtedly go on to educate a different generation upon various aspects in life. There's nothing that can undoubtedly better being schooled by a certain person who knows what the requirements are but more importantly the suggestion of respect goes with it so to speak!!Over recent years I have seen some of the top fieldsports enthusiastics running particular types of lurcher types and literally dozens of longdog hybrid s
  8. The Bedlington x whippet is a cracking little ferreting companion and tooled up in so as having the nessaserry weather proof coat inherited from its Bedlington sire along with a good set of shoes in order to hunt on the vary hardest of terrain. ITS a very hard little cross and will stand like a soldier in the coldest and frostiest of weather when out on the very coldest weather conditions with ferret and webs.Ive actually witnessed this ? particular cross produced from the Bedlington x whippet as an overwhelming pot provider for the ferreting syndicates. It thrust and speed inherited from its w

  13. A running dog of longdog type are line bred meaning they are purposely man bred from a certain particular blood LINE and should never have any other blood added to its breeding pedigree because quite honestly ? ? if another bloodLINE is introduced into a line bred pedigree then such foolishness and stupidity will undoubtedly mess up ones intension regardless what some critics say!!!!! Carl Williams South Wales.

  15. In my opinion both dogs and bitches whith whippet x greyhounds longdogs both sex are relatively good keen honest working dogs initially bred from a whippet sire and a greyhound dam as I've clearly emphasised to those in the clay class form...such a running dog is an end product end of story!!! Absolutely no other breeding ingredients should be introduced to such a longdog merely because it will. f**k up the broth so to speak and amongst other aspects its confirmation. The three quarter whippet x greyhound is a better coursing dog in the field and has electrifying thrust and zest.than an half

  17. The purebred coursing whippet is an absolutely fantastic little rabbitng companion ? and will certainly snatch a rabbit up if it has breached a purse web these super little catch dogs provide plenty of sport for the handler. On a proper real cold n frosty winter morning the whippet does lack the coat for winter time rabbiting and display a shivery behaviour.i remember my first ever parti coloured purebred whippet which I bought from some geezer in Bath Wiltshire England when I lived relatively close in a place called Trowbridge I was 14 years old when I slipped my whippet on his first rabbit

  19. purebred whippets that have a five generation pedigree k.c. reg and have been entered into the coursing clubs stud book and do not exceed the height of 20inches are those who can be welcomed into a whippet coursing club N.W.C.C I personally wasn't able to a adjust myself to such snoty events...I was however very fortunate for the late Bob batch to have slipped my whippets on a number of occasions at these coursing events.

  21. The purebred whippet should not exceed the requirements of height 20inches to the top of the withers ....however, having said that my pure stud whippet bow stood 21 inches and his ideal running weight was 34 ibbs.he was very carefully put to well balanced Irish greyhounds in order of me breeding a true to type longdog hybrid...bow was a fantastic dog and literally dozens of running dogs were brought to him.luguna blood is relatively quiet old but it still exists. Carl Williams
