  16. i,ve got a 7 month old saluki x pup that i,ve been trying to train on the recall, everything has been going ok but lately she has started to rebell. had her on the longline and she was doing very well coming back everytime i asked her to and getting rewarded for it, after a couple of weeks i took the long line off her and everything was fine, she was coming back to me when asked and she was coming on well, but now she has been reluctant to come to me when released off the leader, she starts off ok but when she has a run about she decides to remain a free dog!!! she comes within 10 yards of m

  21. the same is happening to my pup mate, she,s only 7 month old and thinks she can jump every thing she comes to she has so much confidence its unreal! she still needs to learn cos she is jumping fences and clipping the top of them knocking her off balance, at the moment i,m keeping her to fences with no barbed wire on (saving on vets bills)

AN UPDATE ON HER TRAINING!!!!!!!!! the long line has made an excellent improvement on her recall, when not among sheep i,m confident enough now to let her off the longline, when she is called now she returns immediatly and is rewarded for it, i repeat this every 50 yards and she returns quite confidently, wish i,d used it earlier !!!! she,s also coming on well with the sheep she,s shy and intimedated when up close but will watch them with more intent when she see,s them running in the distance i feel there,s a bit more time needed before i can let her loose near sheep
