    I'm only 20 so obviously i haven't ever hunted badger but i have a question. do the terrier men who were around when badger digging was legal think that all the dogs that were regarded as "hard" on foxes faired so well on badger? Do you think there was a difference in styles between the two quarry? Obviously the locator played a big part in the change in dogs used for digging. i only ask this because i was speaking to an old poacher the other day and he is of the opion that alot of good fox dogs nowadays would take a pasting off a badger. i dont wont to start and arrgument on wet

    i live near guildford and am good friends with a lot of traverllers. one night i heard the dogs barking but thought nothing of it but they did stop then i heard my padlock on my pen hitr the floor so i got out of bed went to the window and sure enough i could just make out a couple of fellas. now i always keep my catapult and a few lead shots on my window sill i slowly opened the window picked up my catapult and a shot. flicked the light on and they froze so oi pulled the elastics back as hard as i could and let fly right in the mans back and he sqweeled like a pig. i went for another

    i like useing the spear and jackson metal shaft. its designed for digging post holes but i think its quality. hopfully it will see some action this winter.

    its been raining quite a bit at the moment and ive been itching to go lamping for ages but ive resisted temptation so far. Last nite just seamed purfect time go and give my young bitch a run or to. shes about 18 months old and this is her first proper season. we went out and she caught 5 out of 8 runs which i dont thinks bad for the first nite out. she even caught one that jumped into a steam and tryed to swim across (which ive neer senn before). so a good nite. roll on them cold windy nites

    yeah it was a good day. the longnetting show was good. alot of good deals had by alot of people. the whippet racing was good to see.

    yeah i might run my bitch but shes never run a whippet race and dont no if she will be put off by the other dogs so just have to wait and see

    yeah im going this is going to be my first game fair. im driving from surry. can i enter my dog in the whippet racing or do u have to register before. my mate went last year and said it was a good do so im going this year i cant wait
