  1. I have them and they are spot on. Easy to change bands and never had any problems personally. Having the clips has allowed me to experiment with lots of different band setups without the hassle of constantly tying/untying the old fashioned way.
  2. Haven't used a stinger but I think the Uniphoxx is one of the most versatile frames out there at the moment. You can band it up OTT or TTF and it fits in the pocket nicely. I honestly don't think Wasp do a bad frame across the whole range. I'm looking at getting a Wolf for game as they are a bit more comfortable than the Uniphoxx and maybe an Imp for shooting 6mm BBs around the house.
  3. It can quickly become an addiction if you aren't careful lol. One of the best things about cattys is that even the top of the range ones are around £50 a piece (PPMG+, Goblet Evo etc) and there are so many decent frames around that £20 mark that will do everything you want them to no problem.
  4. Might be worth getting the multiplex version (about £40 on ebay) first to see how you get on with the PPMG before splashing out on the metal one buddy. The truth is that no matter how many catapults you own you will always want more ?
  5. Shot mate ? I haven't been out much lately, missed a magpie earlier this week which flew off laughing but that's about it ?
  6. Have a look at the Wasp Uniphoxx, really good little frame that can take flat bands or tubes and can be set up to shoot OTT (over the top) or TTF (through the forks). I got the band clips for mine too which makes it really easy to change bands around (https://www.waspslingshots.co.uk/standard-slingshots-1). Katchum's recommendation is good too, I think i'm gonna have to bag one of them scout copies myself now haha! Honestly mate, modern cattys are a million times better than black widows are. There's loads of good stuff on Youtube that you can learn from and a lot of good lads into it wh
  7. It's definitely go for a frame with flat bands mate, they are a massive upgrade over a black widow. Way more consistent I find
  8. I've got a Wasp Uniphoxx and it's a cracking little frame, I use flat bands but you can also use tubes with them if you want. I've heard good things about the Wolf too, tempted to add one to my collection tbh. If you are gonna get a Wasp I'd say get it direct from their website. I know they had an issue with a batch fairly recently and they contacted everyone who had bought one and sent out replacements free of charge. Shows that they go the extra mile to keep folk happy.
  9. Hi all, I recently joined this forum after getting more and more interested in hunting/shooting over the past few months. I've been fishing since I was a teenager (so that's going on 16 years or so now!) and this winter will be my first season beating and ferreting (thanks to a member on here, legend!). I'm here to learn more than anything but i'll pass on my angling experience when/where I can. Hoping to get into the working dogs side of things soon but living in a rented flat with a 'no pets' rule is making that difficult at the moment. Cheers all
