  1. what is the jill jab? what is in it? is it a antibiotic of some kind, now i'm confussed
  2. Went back up today to have a look at the Goshawk nest that i posted on here a couple of days ago. One of the birds seems to have already flown but about 3 trees away as i was walking off i spotted this little beauty sitting in a tree. Hope you like the pic cause i don't think i'll be getting any more of him. I'm glad i took a walk up there today now!
  3. Give it time before you name and shame! but if you see them put something else up for sale then warn people! I recently bought a mk3 ferret finder and collar off someone on here and after a while thought i'd been ripped off but it turns out the guy had been called away with work. I've received it now all working in good order so just try and give it a little time and hope he replies soon. I really thought i'd lost my money and was planning my revenge lol could be a perfectly good explanation? Good luck mate.
  4. mine arrived yesterday but just about to start the first one as i won it on ebay the other day then i'll move onto this one. Thanks darcy hopefully another good read
  5. No my missus has not long ago joined a bird forum as she has recently fallen in love with birds of prey and when she posted the pic a member of bbc contacted her. Hoping to have an update on how they got on on autumn watch when it starts. have always wanted a bop myself and have got a few books on falconry but never been able to get into it. I feel it is a very hard sport to get into and really need to spend time with an experienced falconer. Maybe one day i'll get there and have my very own bop until then i'm just gonna have to dream lol p.s. sorry for going off subject
  6. had a message off a bbc representative this morning apparently this is the nest that was being filmed on springwatch. It is top secret have tried to find old footage off springwatch but can't find nothing? The funny thing is when springwatch was on i said to my g/f that the goshawks nest on there was identical to the one i knew for (which i thought was a buzzard) small world if it's right!
  7. Cheers for the replies. This is the 2nd year i've watched this nest but thought they were buzzards until i seen the Goshawks on springwatch. There's another nest about 30 yards away from this one identical to this which is empty are they likely to have 2 nest that they alternate year after year? or could there be a buzzard nesting this close? There's loads of buzzards in the area.
  8. Where abouts you to mate? anywhere in south wales? Just thinking for when i have to do my jills next year
  9. i think i'm gonna be there with me bro and one of the boys unless they decide to take their missis
  10. Can anyone identify these young birds, just about to leave the nest by the looks of them. also have a pic of feather if this helps? thanks, Kristian.
  11. The 2 rescue ferrets i have were raised on dry cat food and when i first got them and i was introducing them to ferret food they wouldn't eat it? now i mix the 2 together (dry catfood and dry ferret food)and they seem to enjoy it. i also feed rabbit/squirrel when i have it but have found with the hot weather we've had it stinks and the flies are all over it so have to remove after a few days. I can't remember the name of the dry ferret food at the mo but i know it was really cheap for a huge bag so happy days.
  12. excellent mate! i've similar circumstances. Have been shooting a while but only been out ferreting and with terriers and lurcher in the last 6-12 months due to my bro and justin off here taking me out and showing me the ropes. I still like my shooting but got ferrets now which i enjoy more than shooting and am thinking of getting a terrier. I'm also totaly addicted and can't wait for my next time out it's a great way of life.

I'm thinking of getting a corn snake, has anyone on here got/had snakes and do they recomend a corn snake or something else as a first snake? are they easy to keep? Do they just eat pinkies or other things aswell? my missus won't let me have one as her mother is scared of them but i'm sure i can talk her round lol. Just really want to know of anyone having experience with them. Cheers, Kristian.

  23. They need to make an example of people like this to put youngsters off this way of life. There was a programme on not long ago about these plastic gangsters some as young as 15 and they were saying they don't care if they go to jail cause they be out by the time they are in their late 20's :oscum!
