    Yeah it's been a bad year for outside kept birds weather's been too cold. I've heard of some hens coming off the nest leaving young. Then some young not eating because of the cold not enough energy stored up. This chap in question put a 20watt lamp under the nest. The chicks came good an started feeding again ?. It's crazy. I've just had these little diamonds hatch 3 Isabel pastel goldfinches there's another two eggs to hatch yet. I've got these in my house in my spare room I've made into a birdroom heating and lighting another hen I've got on 4 more eggs ready in next few days

    Nice looking animal that pal looks like he's being well looked after credit to you. It's not nice having to get rid of dogs you'll kick yourself after mate trust me been there an not on my choice too f***ing bitch of a woman got rid of mine when in jail came out to my dogs gone two. In away I understood because I left her with our lad house birds dogs so something had to go but trust me I had a few tears on a night to myself. Just think before you rush into it because ones that dog gets put in back of another man's motor it's gone. Atb mate

    Well guys it's been going abit slow on here nobodys put much up. We all know the weather's not been good for many of us it's been a funny one up and down. Chuffing start of may an it's feeling like beginning of march April still. I've got a few pairs on eggs had a few clutches from my canaries that have made the sticks. Has anyone else got owt on ie young birds yet eggs or just nest making on the way let us know.

    Well just got the new dimmer delivered this afternoon for my birdroom in the house. I have to say what a bit of kit turns from 240 to 12v all auto set for summer mode an winter just plug it in and it's done. You can run 70 modules from it. Thats my weekend sorted fixing it in the flights an cages

    As many will of seen these chicks grow from egg to now fledglings. All three have made it to the sticks they've made the jump and now moving about. A love the markings and colour of the first bird in the pictures

    Just been in to give the birds some egg food and caught the cock bird tending on the hen I've paired him with. She's sat tight on six eggs at the min. A was in two minds to put them under a feeder but the way she's looking it's looking promising to leave them. Here's a few pics of the pair and eggs

    Photo 1 & 2 are different bird as you'll of noticed the 3rd & 4th photo are the same bird. Love the colouring of this bird one of the lads says she most probably be a hen I'm hoping so be nice to Mule up next year with a native Goldie. ?

    I have mine made up by Sykes in South Yorkshire 15kg 18 quid for British finch mix. Makes it up in mixer but you have to preorder
