Im all for this, it can work if theres enough support for the genuine sufferers i.e retraining for other jobs other that what they did before injury/illness as many will need it. I do wonder though how many illegal immigrants will be assessed, now were gonna be giving those who have lived here illegaly for ten years citisenship (good old british citisenship). Does this give us hope that maybe the flood gates are going to be pulled in a bit?? NO!! theyve been took off the hinges instead. This being only my second season, ive been really nervous but no there great. Trapperman, do you slide floors under your hives in the winter? Ive got veroa floors and i put slides in over the winter to keep them warm but on reflection i was wondering if they would have been better without?? ATB D No i leave the slide in floor out except when we had that really cold spell i put it in but upside down so there was a slight gap to allow a flow of air across the bottem and out the front. I had 2" of polystyrene and a fleese blanket on top as insulation, with no top ventilation.

Good thread, ive posted enough rubish on this site in the past and on reflection i wouldnt behave that way in a public place so i shouldnt here, i wouldnt let my wife on this site. If people realise this is a public place then maybe the manners will improve, those who werent brought up with any will be booted and that should be that. Sorry to anyone offended by any of my posts. Managed to get into my hives properly today and so happy with the results. Clean hives full of brood, spotted the queens in all four hives and put a white mark on them for easy spotting later. Theyve all got plenty of food and ive put supers on all, early i know but i think they were needed. Get some pics up in the morn. ATB D

Bandwagons will always be jumped on by otheres, take dog collars for instance you get a guy copy an idea off another company and then publicly slate someone because he thinks someones copying his idea :laugh: . Double standards IMO. ATB D

No bravado here, I have no feelings for those pigs either way, nor do I particularly care what happens to them in another country that I have no control over or responsibility for. Damage our sport? I do not agree, it is a harmless tradition. I too can remember seeing the corvids hung, have not seen any of those for years now though. I think if we forget all the traditions passed down by our forfathers it will/has become a society of boring folk with no identification. Keep it alive as much as possable IMHO. D

Absolutely right. Anyone that genuinely thinks this is acceptable disgusts me. I care in the same way i care about dispatching my quarry humanely. I have a strong belief in whats right and wrong and i stick to it. Im no anti but i see so called hunters who treat their quarry with contempt as the lowest of the low. A genuine hunter rerspects their quarry otherwise they are just killers. HEAR HEAR!

I dont kill much, but what i do hunt is respected, any human being can respect there prey, to hear somthing defenceless screaming out of pain and fear is horrific. SS, plenty of people care, and IMO barbaric brivado will damage our sport more than anything.
