  2. whin, i too had dogs for over 30 years, as i said to mr jones, thats my choice, but still had them hunting well over into there teens, not saying dont do it, i'm saying be carefull as there can be problems starting them too young, yapping for a start, as you'll know if they start yapping when chasing it's very hard for them too stop it, as for growth plates, the slightest knock can and does alter the growth of the bone joints, causing pitfalls later in their life----atb den
  3. mr jones----7 1/2 months ffs he's still growing , knacker it's growth plates and it'll cripple the f****r, let it learn to walk before you force it to run, it's a hard life for dogs , without entering them too young, dont say i have'nt warned you of the possible dangers Hi Denned, Thanks for the advice (to be honest I was half expecting a reply like this). I'm just letting her have a couple of runs if that on easy rabbits, getting her used to the lamp and recall etc... was planning on doing this once every week/couple of weeks going forward, then when she fully grown and up to full

  5. lets just remember one thing, running a show without criticism is not going to happen,we try extremly hard in running the show, but as always theres 1 arse hole who spoils everything , lynn, to answer your question of where it went, i cant explain cos i dont know, but i can tell you we'll be back next year, and for the foreseable future,-----anybody wanting to judge either , hawick or selkirk, give me a ring on -01450 373229 / 07746617031, if your up for it, all enquiries , confidential.---------den

  13. Never say the fight, gutted! I knew it would be a tough test for him and from what you say I was right. He's not as good as he think either. If he never makes the big time I bet he can always go and sell some cheap mongrels..ha ha yes another giant gasbag like audley harrison----enough said
  14. never seen a result like it in my life, terry o'conner should never judge a fight again, john mcdermott totally outclassed tyson fury, all the pundits , who have loads of ring experience cant be wrong , not one gave tyson the fight but terry oconner did , must have been the hype goggles blurring his vision, it was a f*****g disgrace
  15. I have no hidden agenda at all here as I didnt have a dog in the show so it was no sour grapes or being a bad looser just giveing my opinion as a totally neutral observer and I was not the only one that was shakeing there head when you pulled that black and white dog out who insidently I have judged that dog so Ive actually had my hands on that dog and have probably seen the dog at over 10 shows over the years and have never even seen it being placed I dont know how the dog grafts but it certainatly not a looker ..it would be interesting to know what judge and show this dog qualified from .
  16. confirmation---- scottish champion of champions IS at selkirk cricket ground on the 27th september @1.00pm all dogs qualified will be informed over the next 14days by post, if your missed out , and have won or been reserve champion at a number of shows in scotland and the north east of england i'm sure i'll have your names on the master sheet.-good luck to all ---atb---dennned
  17. opinions opinions opinions- thats all we have, moo , yours differs from mine, but i've had decent working dogs longer than you've had brain cells , so stop slagging, yours was'nt even worthy of being there, so why critisice, agreed the open show winner was a superb specimen, i know it well, even the owner, but it had'nt qualified for the finals either, to say the winner was picked for who he was , thats ridiculous, i never have, and never would pick someone just because i know them, to be perfectly honest with you, i knew 7 of the 8 participants in the final, so how was there any untowards in t

  19. i must have my say, on this topic. lets get one thing straight , all mods do a fantastic job on here, without them there would be anarchy, not what , ian b , wanted , neither did the vast majority of the members, but yes there is, lots of clowns ( you know who you all are) for me , traceyg, is great at her job, she's my choice , but only cos she's my freind also, john galway is another who i highly regard on here, strict but with the utmost integrity, now not being foolish enough just to admit that those 2 are the best, EVERYONE of the mods are asked to do the job for reasons that , ianb,
  20. 2.5ml of b12 should do the trick for ye--- 4 hours before your nights work
  21. duphalyte------best on the market ---- pre hunting , and after a nights graft -- your dogs would be fine-- done it for years never had a problem--------atb den
  22. miss , mind what i said, you'll rise above it
  23. ok , speedy- not 100% sure but it's usually around 15>>>>17 february
  24. now now, are'nt we not all the best judges of good working dogs, no, your quite correct, but before i go on, no i was'nt there, so this is just my opinion, to publicly slate a judge(who on the day of the show was asked to judge the finals, through the other judge calling off)is morally wrong,he may only have had a dog for 5>6 years in your eyes, but does that mean he is'nt a good judge, no again, he judged as best as he could, others who attended the show, have as your well aware commented that THEY thought the best dog won on the day, again only their opinion, so is it not just YOURopinio
