Yesterday’s evening on the squirrels was ruined by a thunder storm just as I sat in down in the hide 3/4 hour of pouring rain eventually gave way I spotted 1 squirrel who soon bolted as mr fox was in persuite only for the cheeky fecker to sit down and chow on the spilt food for at least 20 minutes with ya care in the world and oblivious to my presence, I had to scare it off so I could go home my mate will be out for it this evening

Another 5 this morning in 2,5 hours all seemed to be going to the feeder with one coming down the tree trunk rather than just coming across it very encouraging

Wasn’t to bad wasn’t what I’d describe as just a “ drop in kit “ took around 3 hours to complete, and yes I cleaned the barrel

TBT kit fitted what a difference no twang very little recoil power up from 10.6 to 11.3 ftp highly recommended

3 this morning off of my feeder.

Too hot to sleep got up before light and took dog out before it got to hot for him ,then up to the woods only saw4 squirrels the first came out of a tree not 5 meters from my feeder but went straight to a pheasant feeder 50m away ?, the next 3 weren’t so fussy as to where they ate and ended up a bit worse for ware for it , all boars

No , no pond or anything for miles , we have pricks wandering thru the release pens all the time thinking they have some fictitious right to roam until they meet up with my mate as he cuts an imposing figure , nearest public footpath is a good mile away to which he’s sent several people back to even though there’s a road 400 yds away ?

After another blank yesterday , my mate finally down loaded the footage , some unwanted visitors not sure who they are or wtf they are doing there no doubt my mate will read them their rights at some point , but last night he saw a fox near the feeder and this morning 4 squirrels were on it ,so it’s possible I’ve missed them

Yeah we have a camera set up just waiting for my mate who works the farm to download the content ! I know there’s a lot of dear , badgers and the usual woodland bird population plus field mice and rats there , but the main concern is the amount of squirrels I sat and watched them Sunday and they still made their way to the pheasant feeders , out of habit? I don’t know , managed to get 2 in the short time I was there , also had a buzzard swoop down through the clearing with what looked to be a mouse in its claw hopefully that came out on the camera

Went up yesterday morning to have a look only saw 2 squirrels and they were at the pheasant feeders , but something had been at the squirrel feeder previously,I’ll go back tomorrow for another look

Had an itch I had to scratch , sure has a twang to it may need a tbt kit in it

New one on me that is , I had a BSA Airsporter and a Webley pistol, hurricane I think ,as I kid , never saw these

Hi Phil yes a chair is a must , i did put a support across the front of the hide for me to use with a bi pod , but the tripod idea is for my daughter to use to hopefully get the rifle supported more on its balance point -

Hi Phil , the hide is permanent ( I hope after last nights storm it’s still there) made of uprighted pallets , this bipod looks ideal , this was the route I was looking at ,cheers again -

Think that may be to tall as the hide is only pallet height -
