Globalization ain't as good as they made out!

Who said only professional pest controllers are essential? Assume nothing. I use firearms most of the time. My secular work is classed as essential and to save time I considered some snaring. I got the info I needed. I did not want or need to be judged by you or anyone else thank you. I am already at risk by working on government contracts related to the corvid virus of which you may be a benefactor! Assume nothing!

I was lucky when I started reloading. Just after I got the gear and a 222 I started rabbit clearing on a shooting estate and foxing with the keeper. The gaffer, now gone, told me to just give him the receipt for any ammo or components. Shot thousands of rabbits to keep them off the huge tree plantations. I acquired pounds and pounds of powder, thousands of primers, tonnes of brass and bullets. Rimfire and shot shells. I shot for over a decade off the back of those few years on the estate! I was in my twenties, no wages but fuel and firewood and the rabbits were mine. I did

I know. They often survive quite well. Other adults help and I have seen them grubbing and catching beetles at a very early stage. An old keeper many years ago told me of a tiny cub he found eating sheep muck. He took it home for his daughter to rear. He said the thing hardly ate a thing and expected to find it dead but it survived and grew into adulthood. What gets me though, no one minds orphaning rats or crows, muntjac too, then there are rabbits! If someone hits a badger on the road no one worries about orphans! It's usually how much is the damage to vehicle going to cost!

Can you get that over the counter? Is there any side effects?

Antony probably likes to spend time in the gunshop ALONE and OFTEN!

Won't be long now and you'll all wish you had bought a muzzloader like I said years ago.... somewhere. Then I'll have a smug grin ?

Good to hear from you old friend. Good to hear more common sense from you too ? I have a job on at the moment on the chucks. Got these two rascals conning in. Think this is one of them. Just going look for the other. Then it's visiting the earth to tidy up!

Yes and no.....it's cheap junk but it keeps my eye and trigger finger in tune with each other. My other air gun is a hw99 and that is an amazing little rifle. Lightish and super accurate. Very quiet too.

Yes, they are slightly better than that now, not much but slightly. This one is till going after a couple thousand.

Thank you very much ?

No idea. It has taken a rabbit or two. 177. Sorry, make wise it says SMK on it but yes probably out the same factory as the Lion brand. Tuning wise yes, well as much as possible. It is a lousy design and small. Very noisy and any spring lube induces dieseling in no time. No room for a piston sleeve other than using very thin shim stock which I don't have and aren't that fussed anyway. The biggest improvement I did was the trigger, now it only needs a Landover pulling on the trigger blade as opposed to a New Holland !

Sorry mate I meant the actual snaring ?

Got a snaring job on. Fox. Are we still legal? Can you guys update me please. SD.

Set the camera yesterday. I walked there from my home, private land and nobody about. I did observe three blokes walking side by side down a distant lane. What hope have we got! Especially watching the cities on the news and Muppets heading for beauty spots. Anyway. Got these pictures. What the latest jibba jabba on snaring? They are killing chickens.

Epilepsy And Shotgun Certificate
Sausagedog replied to David Mcmilligan's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Shouldn't be in town with a firearm. It's treatable and manageable. If it wasn't you would see people having a fit all the time! Hmmm, I wonder if my foreman is epileptic! I can make him have a fit at will ? -
Is this ok or if I break a leg on the garden steps will it screw it up for airguns?

Epilepsy And Shotgun Certificate
Sausagedog replied to David Mcmilligan's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
This is a very old thread dumbledore. I don't have an issue with it at all and am aware of the different levels of the illness. I also know how it can be managed quite well. There always some that are blunt and live in a wonderful world of black and white. Take no notice buddy and carry on. ATB. -

I use to do that at school. Go early and throw some bread for the gulls. Catch one on a line and then loose it in the corridors. Caused mayhem ? -
Sure, I am well aware....like my daughter in hospital, my granddaughter that Gramma has to look after. I'm at work doing essential stuff....yeah I know ok! If I want to bloody walk the fields on my own I bloody well will ok.

I didn't understand your statement "ultimate sniper". Not all of us were brought up on computer games and think we are something we are not!
-
What!.....with a flintlock ?

I'm missing your point, I don't see how the two relate. Is it a little black and white syndrome popping out again Timmy?
