I think you're right buddy not shot a pink yet in land and I don't think the numbers are what they have been for some reason Iike you say I put a good spread of decoys out yesterday morning expecting something not a shot poor dogs sat there for 3 hours and we never seen or heard one

Some sadly underestimate the power of the sea and are clueless about the dangers like rip currents ect when I use to dig Black lug amount of times I told folk most with kids normally in the summer the tides coming in and not to go out only to be told it's ok it's all the way out there till I explained it's the gutters all around you that fill up first and cut you off from land not the sea itself some listened so didn't but the sea conditions like they entered its madness I thought the organizers would of called it off on safety grounds

Not every dog makes the grade bangers sometimes the owners ambitions out match the dogs capabilities your offerings to match very good dogs with experience with a youngster no you need to forget ego take your time otherwise it will jack

Sorry to hear that mc I thought he was on the mend but maybe it gives the young dogs more of a chance now and from the clips you have shown they seem more than capable of stepping up

@mchull what's got more in the tank one of yours on a 5 minute run daylight or a lamp dog that takes maybe 60 or 70 bunnies over a few hours on the lamp run after run

Bangers I wouldn't dismiss a lab cross one I seen run often was a Hardy dog good coat and feet that took some knocks and did all edible and was out most nights and was a natural retriever he took fox but wasn't a fox dog one in Liverpool was a genuine fox dog taking numbers every week and a few more were more than useful I heard from good lads

What about you fetch that runner you had out looking for foxes all the time that you say can't run the slop I will put one 5 yards in front of it and you show me how to tail a fox or how that's single handled it's ok doing one now and again try a few times a week every week single handed
