Thanks mate, I'm giving them the best start in life and once they go to new owners it's down to them to put the work in to get best out of them and hopefully one or two make gooduns It's been hard work getting them to this point and still few weeks to go but I'm enjoying it even though I want to pull my hair out at times
-
They don't come back because they having to much fun hunting or they don't want to be with fella that slips the lead. I've never had a dog that wouldn't come back to hand, my brother got saluki bred dogs, 1 will catch, kill and stand over it but other one brings back to hand, I've never done any recall training with any runner and I've never had a dog refuse to come back to me, I've had dogs that chase and loose it so hunt up and chase agsin but that's not refusing to come back that's hunting, different at night on lamp, dog needs come straight back.

One mans jacker is another's man's one in a lifetime dog Thought it was interesting read, and seems very knowledgeable on Salukis

Good to hear he placed the pup and hopefully pup and youngster will get the best out of each other, I just took a liter out my runner and placed 4 before they was born and 1 I'm keeping myself and got one dog pup but ill not let him go to just anyone he's only 4 weeks so got 4 weeks to place him in right hands.

Pic of my bitch as a pup, if these pups turn out like her but that extra bit of speed and stamina I'll be happy as pig in crap
-
This fella knows his sal bred dogs
-
Sounds like he had ruff old time when he was supposed to be given the best of starts, it always touches me how dogs can trust again and still give their all after being beaten and treated bad, On a better note he's in good hands now trigger and going to have good life with you and your family and he's definitely taking to working the lamp, i wish you both the very best for this season and I'm sure you will have many more to come. I'm down your way next weekend "monkhyde" my brother taking his Norfolk x sal type so hopefully get out see what's about,

Did pup go mate?

They got blue eyes, so worth the money To be fair they cheep for whippet pups but they probably not full whippets, worth a chance because most whippets will take to work no matter what parents doing
-
Spoke to my mate last night and he said he can make any type of collar and if you send me pics of what you want he will do it, he makes them in between saddles, tack for house guards, it could take him 3/4 weeks depending on what he's got on, I'll try delete some stuff and pm you my number
-
They already little characters, they was indoors first 3 weeks, they have the sleeping area of kennels plus a 10x4 run and have access to it all the time so they have plenty of space and my grandchildren are also really hands on playing with them, of course they hard work but they deserve the best and I looking forward to seeing how they turn out.

Used to go kelmarsh every year but most the dogs never seen a days graft, i had some women contact me couple of weeks ago wanting a pup, she said she had 9 lurchers and 3 Jack Russels, i asked how you find the time to walk that lot never mind work them , i made it clear she wasn't getting a pup from me to sit in a kennel until show day,
-
I'll ask him, he's doing collars in between sadles and tack but I'm sure he be able to do a bull dog collar, ill pm you later ok
-
I've got to clear some posts, I'll do it once in from work
-
Definitely, amount of hours going into these, they worth more a lot more but I priced them for lads on here, you not please people sometimes
-
That's cheep mate, I remember paying 55 for a collar from black pony 10 year ago and his work not on same level as these collars, I'll pop them on fb at £5 a number and they do well for the homeless charities, they not cheep bits of crap, like you say hours upon hours of work in these, they all hand stitched by a master sadler,
-
All different prices mate but range from 30 to 45 each and that's a great price considering amount of work going into making one,the collar with dear heads would like nice on deerhound x, If you would like one measure your dogs collar and let me know. All money raised from these will go to the homeless, food banks
-

A mate of mine is making some cracking collars, he was in the queens guards for years and became a master sadler making all the tack for the royals especially queen Elizabeth, He's given me a couple of collars to see what lads think, lot of work goes into these collars and all done by hand

Tottaly agree mate, lads on fb taking liters out of 18 month old pups then churning a liter every year, they bunch of dirty cnuts that give no thought in keeping the type working and taking a liter to place in work homes, didn't realise how bad it was until couple months ago,
