  1. Thanks for your reply,I always give goats milk and I'll give the ricotta a go ,I've started to feed her 3 small meals a day because she was behaving like she was hungry all the time and she seems to be happy now ,she's on a raw diet , I feed chicken wings ,carcus, lamb ribs and rabbit, beef, duck mix with tripe . She gets scrambled eggs in morning Raw at lunch 50% meat kibble early evening. ATB
  2. How many times a day do you feed bitch in pup? She's five weeks now and filling out , I'm giving her breakfast and early evening meal . I not bred a liter for years and bitch and pups always done well on what I fed but bitch I got just wants to eat and eat . Anyway I feel to much can not be good so going to break her meals down to 3 a day and feed quality over quantity., How do you feed ?
  3. I've had some good mornings on them ,once they in the open it's game over.
  4. So do you peg each corner?
  5. One of the lads from Australia wrote about using nets this way ,he used sheet netting just rolled out over warren ,said it made life a lot easier ,I'm not so sure but I've never done it ,they must have some bagging for them to tangle the rabbits ?
  6. I'm right, why the fcuk would anyone want to go to the hottest spots to chase a hare and risk loosing the dogs ,motor ,ban from keeping dogs ,fines etc . poaching is about going about your business away from priying eyes and do it quietly not fcuking go out mob handed and let the world no what your doing on FB
  7. Totally agree with what you're saying, any one going out in a group blatantly not given a fcuk deserves getting their collar felt and in my opinion going to the fens to chase a hare really isn't worth the fcuking hassle and you surly don't think much of your dogs , because your going to loose them for what ? for morning in lincs ,cambs FFS they hares all over the place so why go to the hottest spots in UK ? Because the best hares lol what BS a hare is a hare .
  8. Unlike some that have been out since may
  9. He'd have got through if it wasn't for his spikes , luckily he stopped thrashing about when I stretched the wire to free him .,fcuk they can plough through some thick brambles, they tough little fcukers that's for sure ,
  10. Same round my way ,no rabbits but tons of deer The terrier pushed a munty buck out some brambles this morning, the stupid thing tried to run through a sheep fence and got it's head stuck because it's antlers ,I could have knocked it on the head but tied the terrier to a tree and got it free to run for another day ,gyp looked at me in disgust
  11. Its a shame you don't see so many now, Deerhound grey x Collie greyhound be ideal type
  12. If you search Phil Lloyds old posts you might find the one he writes about putting a Deerhound to a whippet and how they turned out
  13. Phil Lloyd wrote about his Deerhound x whippet ,I believe he used a dog called blue Peter and from what he wrote the pups turned out crackers
  14. My brother had a platts bred dog that didn't catch anything until it was over 2 and he'd run stuff but wouldn't strike ,he had his first catch on Harrington aerodrome,a munty was feeding out in the open and he got up to it and we thought here we go again he's going to just think it's a game silly cnut but fcuk he lifted it by it's back leg and started to retrieve it screaming like fcuk and we herd him yelp and he dropped it and it was running again but he lifted in couple of yards and finished it, after that first catch he came into his own and put plenty away but was never a rabbit dog .
  15. I no someone who got a Italian greyhound pup ,it broke its front legs jumping of the settee, vet told her it happened because peddlers breeding to make them tiny so they weeker .,I'm sure the original ones would have been similar to a whippet
  16. I'm in no way saying your dog isn't a pure whippet ,what I'm trying to say is most whippets used as rag dogs etc back in the day had some very game staff bull added and that still probably shows in some lines of whippets today, remember a lot of pure bred types have had other things added generations back but still got a KC
  17. Its nothing new, I remember a highly respected dog man writing about putting a whippet to a Deerhound Years ago .
  18. some breeders definitely put Stafford blood into whippets ,they plenty of muscled up whippets about ,some lines are bigger stronger types than others and it probably comes from having bull blood down the line.
  19. i remember you posting about the malamute lurcher, hopefully this dog will do ok bud ,my old boss as two Dutch herders that he uses for security work , Hope he turns out good for you
