remember listening to it on radio think uk only sent 1 reporter.think honeyghan had 5 or 10 grand on himself at 6-1 still the greatest victory by a British boxer on foreign soil
unusual colour for a first cross. mate had 1 same colour but it was a genuine 1same.glover says i his book you only get black, blue or brindle.also you never get a smooth first cross. load of boxxxxcks on both
i have a first cross she is 18 1/2 inches. 11 months old just caught her first rabbit. where she excels is nose etc working cover and marking. very quick over 50 yards but lacks a gear on longer runs.i certainly wouldn't buy 1 as a running dog but then again i don't lamp.daytime mooching & ferreting she suits me fine.
last drop i did a small spinney close to home.i had hard ground pegs mate was using hazel. after a short bant his net was empty & down so it had obviously been hit mine had half a dozen well balled up the pegs had done their job. had better nights but many times had worse.
its same here there are pockets of rabbits in places & a good summer behind them who knows?.some probably wouldn't think its worth running nets out for a few. but if i get a few its worth it to me its the enjoyment of being out
think they were 3 ply hemp.sorting old stuff out recently found about 30 yards of 2 strand hemp white no running lines or anything. pretty sure it must be from him.in great nick to say hes been dead 30 years
just back into things after 15 years. always used traditional nets taught by the old timers.middleaged (old fart) myself now.have a 70 yard & 50yard & just ordered a new 50 from nelson
cheers mate i have done quite a bit of night netting & had decent catches but only ever in pairs never worked alone. how do keep tension when you peg as you go
