been talking to a old friend who had been at melton Mowbray market last winter.he saw rabbits at £4 a couple & pheasants at £1 a brace.he pointed out thats 8 pheasants for price of 2 rabbits if you would of said that in the 80s people would think you've gone mad.

it was someone called joonsy i think.but it was slightly different the lines ran through the short loop.on this both lines and loop run through the pin.

morning mooch everything overgrown this time of the year but you have to get out.

recently bought a traditional from nelson.good quality net great price & cracking set of endpins.on this net there is a spliced loop through all the end meshes & pin.the lines are through the pin as normal leaving them free running.got be far better than tying last mesh to running lines something i have never done.

i have only had first crosses very rough coated but sometimes it can be a hindrance.next one i am going for a three-quarters cross a smooth one.hopefully breed my own in a few years.
