    I think alot seem to forget no pup comes with a magic wand weather you get it free or pay £1000 for it, you will only get out what you put in ? I admit to being one of the biggest critics of hancocks dogs yet seen one a few days ago that i was well impressed with ? But then again the lad has put alot of time in with it ? As others av said do your homework before you. Buy or simply breed your own and put the work in with it ? The the only one to. Blame if it goes wrong is yourself

    Like i keep saying horses for courses i wunna expect a big courseing saluki x to on the arse of a rabbit within a few yards like i wouldnt think a whippet x to gateing a big winter hare on the fens ?i like a dog 20 / 22ish which i fimd adequte for what i do with mine like u say personal choice and expierence ?plays the biggest part ?

    Sorry just read the.begining of the thread dont how much ferreting you av done but a daytime rabbit in most places rarely runs more than 25 yards ? Now a whippetey lurcher which most ferreters will use ? Will be up the arse of bunny quicker than a long legged lurcher or longdog ? It aint rocket science now is it ? I wlll always say horses for courses ?
