hw 1oo spares or repairs 177[ sold instantly,,sorry]
smokin replied to sharpeye's topic in Gun's and Rifle's
if the fault is what i think you are describing it was not uncommon on mk1 hw100s - there was a material change in that area as of mk2's onwards for that reason -
he's back - 'thank' - seen this typo before - can you guess who?!?!

did they show the whole program - they only showed the first 15mins as a filler when i settled down to watch it then put some toss on about a train journey in the states that had feck all to do with the countryside atb chris

there may be certain legitimate circumstances for doing it at night - where the process of dispatching the rabbits could be sensitive - eg on school grounds or golf courses. i have had a permission on a school ground for shooting and it was strictly darkness hours as the public were there between 0600-2200 most days. now - whos breeding glow in the dark ferrets? maybe led flashing collars and reflective tape on the pegs would make it doable atb chris

300 bar every time for a number of reasons. You can do the math for a quick idea. 1 bar 7l is 7 litres. 300 bar 7l is 2100 litres stuffed in the bottle. Also consider the fill pressure of the rifle. Once the rifle and the bottle are at the same pressure you dont get full fills. So if it needs 200 bar a 232 will get there much quicker

the hunters favourite - avon skin so soft moisturiser - works a treat and dont stink like off the shelf repellants a for the bites - you did say the horse was close!!!
-
seconded - it happens with some scope rifle combinations - i find it quite useful!! - if the velocity was changing the point of impact would vary quite a bit too atb chris

or swaps on shootin, ferreting stuff or a milbro style set of forks ready to go? VX5R now sold - grab a bargain from the rest while you can!!

quite an old design these days - but still better than some of the budget pcp's i my opinion. has its weaknesses such as the barrel clamp and low fill count - you could get a reg for these by airmasters years ago - if used as a hunter i think its fine as the shot count aint important - plinking at the range bit of a pain refilling every 40 shots or so - id have a lighthunter in left hand again it was a great rifle in the 4x4 due to size(sold mine to fund a hw100 at the time). oh and get that detwanger fitted!!! - booiiinng!! the rifle was also available as the fn8 and 19 - the nubers denot

you can get 2 for a fiver at asda at the moment ive found the little bean bags useful with a springer - never bought one but borrrowed mind or ive just stolen all the cushions of the setee at home!! springers do tend to have a bit of zero shift depending on how you hold them (or what position you are in affectin how you hold em) - more to do with how you cushion the recoil rather than any strange goings on - something to get used to but for convenience if you do 99% of your shooting prone for example, thats how id try to zero it then learn its differences in the other positions do
-
thats also on my list!!!! watching a few on evilbay now

Hey fella good luck with the sale if id got rid of me van i may just have had it off you
-
i suspect it would be cheaper to sell and buy one already multi shotted - its not just an add on like the air arms s200 or just get used to it - the mags on the fn's are a funny thing anyway - you need a little brass button to help you fill em etc - if you are shooting sound enough it only takes one pellet and it souldnt take that long to thumb aonther one in as long as ye dont panic used to have a fn12 lighthunter - cracking rifle - wish id kept it but it was financial at the time atb chris

Peanut butter mate everytime its all I ever use put some in a pile on the floor smear it around and then they have to sit and lick it rather than biscuits or bread which they tend to just pull bits of and then fook off.Having to sit and lap at the peanut butter gives you a better chance of getting a good shot at them. If you go down the route of trapping them also use peanut butter as they cant drag it off the traps and you kill rate will be much higher before they become to wary of the traps, this really works as we put in 8 traps down the other night next to the chicken run and in the morning

have you ever had to use the BASC bob? is it worth the extra for someone who just shoots air rifle over the cost of say Countryside alliance/ BASA/ CCC looking at cheap viable alternatives myself - currently a full time dad so funds are at a minimum maybe a poll on this somewhere - maybe its been done?? atb chris

IF you can get the right connecting hose you can do it VERY carefully off a divers bottle like filling a pcp - its around the 50BAR mark - do not go over this - A - you wont be able to cock the rifle . B - the ram seals will 'burn' out VERY quickly thats how ive done it in the past on theos and a '90k - borrowed the hose though maybe someone like your local PIRTEK outlet could make a hose up if youve got access to a dives bottle an gauge the dedicated theoben pumps and hose aint cheap if i recall correctly - just found em here - £22 for the hose / £75 all in when i did it y
