  1. Thanks Rez, yes I’m very pleased with it ? and you’re right, I’ll try my luck on the c/f section. atb Steve
  2. It’s alright for you young whippersnappers who can outrun the law!. Nowadays my nose runs faster than me
  3. Ray I know what you mean mate, the problem i have at the minute is not having any permissions (not through lack of trying though) so at the moment this is the only bit of land i can work her, as i said earlier there’s only the odd open field or two the rest is thick woodland, even in mid winter there’s still plenty of cover. I have to agree with Elchapo and Poxon about not starting them too young and risk ruining her but it’s each to there own I suppose ?. I did start getting her out and about towards the back end of last season when she was around 7-8 month old when I knew I could trust
  4. Afternoon lads I’ve just been lucky enough to drop on this scope for what I think is a pittance considering what they go for on the second hand market, now I knew it would probably be overkill on a sub 12ft lb air rifle ( I have a Hw100s and a Titan manitou both .177) but I’m intending to apply for my fac next year so it could have it’s use somewhere down the line, however i mounted it on the Titan just to see what it’s like and on the lowest mag at 4.5x at 30 yards it’s absolutely spot on with a sharp crystal clear image but anything closer then the image gets slightly blurred, as
  5. Well not so much a pup now at 16 month old but really pleased with how she’s coming on. Went out for a bit of a mouch just as it was getting dusk, it’s public land with thick woodland and the odd open field which backs onto a housing estate but i rarely see anyone else other than the odd dog walker . There is the odd rabbit or two but they’re well clued up and rarely stray more than a couple of yards from cover but surprisingly this one strayed out in the open maybe thirty yards from cover, the bitch saw it before me and ran it and managed to grab it at the second attempt just before it
  6. My thoughts exactly pal !. I can’t understand how anyone can say they can’t or won’t give a dog kennel space after it’s given it’s owner so much pleasure and loyalty in it’s working lifetime , as was said earlier, to some people a dog is just a tool, I dread to think where some of these dogs end their life!.
  7. So what do you do with your dogs once their working life is over?, genuine question .
  8. Cracking dog pal ?. I spoke to Richie when this litter was due as I was after a bitch pup but unfortunately for me there was only the one bitch in the litter which understandably Richie kept back for himself. A week or so later I heard of a very similar litter of four weeks old bred from a lad in Doncaster so called over to take a look, paid a deposit and picked her up a fortnight later. Dam is beddy/whippet x grey and sire is collie/ whippet x grey.

  10. Excellent choice mate, speed and brains , can’t beat it atb ?
  11. Been looking at these myself Mate, there’s a couple of good YouTube clips on both the NV and the rangefinder, it’d be good to see how you get on with it especially as a day scope. Steve
  12. Hi all Any of you lads lost a falcon or know anyone who has ?. This morning around 7.30 flying north over Beeston in South Leeds what looked like possibly a lanner/saker/peregrine falcon, i only noticed because i heard it’s bells, i only saw it for a few seconds but it was more of a grey/slate colour and much bigger than a Kestrel . I,m not really aware of any Falconry forums but it may be worth someone in the know posting elsewhere . atb Steve
  13. View Advert Hatsan 3 stage stirrup pump Up for sale as i now have a charging cylinder, comes with a spare set of seals , good condition and works exactly as it should. collection from Leeds, WestYorkshire. Cheers Steve Advertiser Steviec Date 16/07/18 Price £50.00 Category Airguns
  14. Yes the stock has me stumped, as I said earlier I have seen very similar ones on google images but nothing with the shaped finger/pistol grip, I’m wondering if someone has actually done it themself and also inletted the piece of walnut where the original cocking bolt lived at the same time, whoever has done it has made a fine job. I have also noticed a five digit number on the scope rail along with “ 2700” which I would imagine to be the max charging pressure . As far as I’m aware no records were kept regarding serial numbers which is a shame . Atb Steve
  15. If I’m being totally honest Mark it was very much more of an impulse buy, I have the best rifle there is for the bunny wabbits! atb Steve
  16. Thanks CC I’m really pleased with it, here’s some better pics.
  17. Very nice, and it looks like it can certainly do the job!
  18. Deker, yes it’s obvious now I look at it , also confirmed by the fact that the cocking mechanism would foul the stock had it been left as a full thumbhole stock? Cheers
  19. Hi mate Yes i did, I went for the one in the pics above.! Thanks for the heads up on the one in the gun shop, lovely looking gun and a good price too but if I’m being totally honest I’m not really a lover of thumbhole stocks. The one I got is an early model Titan ( possibly a Manitou) and is much better than the pics in the ad, plus I got it at a good price too, I ran it over the combro and it’s giving a consistent 11.4 fpe and spot on accuracy. I shall stick some photos up later. Thanks again mate atb Steve
  20. Thanks Pav , would you know if the stock is pretty much standard and do they normally come with that amount of brassware?. Cheers mate
  21. Morning chaps As title really, I’ve always liked the look of these and they seem to get some good reviews, one’s cropped up not too far away so i’m off to go take a look at it after having a couple of conversations with the owner . The only info I have is that it’s an early single shot 177 model and has had a shorter cylinder fitted, shot count is around 45-50 from a170 bar fill and that’s about it. As I understand it Falcon were the sister company of Air Arms before ceasing production and John Bowkett was heavily involved. Ive looked on google images and there’s loads of
