  1. Great vid mate and always good to secure another permission.and yes to the previous post some if not all places are hard as rock
  2. Nice write up mate and thats some heavy thickets.. Down here we have box thorn which i try to avoid as much as possible lol but thats some thick sht. Good to see some responsible hunting and great result
  3. Sounds like you guys had a great day out{apart from the rain} evan better that you have plenty more ground to hunt keep us posted.
  4. I received one of Jok's boxes last week modified for aussie conditions and i can't be happier with it.It weighs next to nothing its sturdy as they come very practical and for the price you can't go wrong. Also mine left from the Uk and arrived in melbourne within 7 days so that was bloody great.cheers again mate
  5. Ive had a few like that as well but after a bit of time out amongst the warrens they've come good.hope my next gen of kits are spot on there SIRBLESSED
  6. Been away for the weekend on a deer hunt so missing all the goss lol good to see you got a heap in those gail force winds and great pics as well mate spot on
  7. I agree with that statement 100% but as you just stated it starts off with one type of pest being targeted and its brought to public attention and those that don't know any better jump on the band wagon and it snowballs from there. What about the other 20 odd introduced pests indeed? But isn't it better to start somewhere than try and solve alllll the problems at once ..
  8. I think there are merits to both sides of the discussion but when you introduce a feral species to a environment its not suppose to be in the results are inexcusable.look what the signal cray has done to the UK fishery chub, barbal, roach and rudd streams have suffered and you only need to look where i live fox, pig, cane toad just to name a few yes i think mink are a cool awesome looking creature and i love there predator instinct.but does that mean i should let lions run free in the area i live in..
  9. Nice post mate. geez you guys have some tricky looking terrain to hunt good to see you came out with a few
  10. Same, i haven't seen that many in a small area in years and yes FK that i won't be taking the ferrets there ever again just go down and knock them over with the trusty FX PCP
  11. Fair call "be careful or stay home" i should have listened to the latter..That little voice that says oh SHT is that another brown snake.Went out today down gippsland way and layed around 20 purse nets saw half a dozen browns pulled up and went home i don't mind them that much but when you see that many don't fancy grabbing a ferret out of a dark hole
  12. If that doesn't put a smile on anyones face nothing will .Nice surprise you would have had Sir won't be long now till i get to come up and grab some
  13. I would have to agree with the above.not sure how it is in the Uk but our chickens in australia are pumped full of hormones and if I'm not keen to eat them {unless free range} than i won't be giving it to my dogs or ferrets.i feed mine rabbits when i have them but a good quality mince and some specialty dry food works a treat for my clan.
  14. Nice one mate good to see your getting into it and evan more so when you get a good result first time out
  15. If thats what GB is like than ill make sure i pack my thermals haha i was down fishing one of the local lakes around ballarat early this year in my hobie kayak when that snow came through and on the second day i barely made it back to shore after a massive cold front came through out of nowhere don't know what i was thinking won't be doing that any time soon haha
  16. Thats a fair call terryd lol. thats probably why my missus tells me to piss off and go fishing so to give her some quiet time
  17. sounds good mate must be good genes in that gill of yours I'm itching to come up
  18. Shame with so many views nobodies offered to give this bloke a chance to learn the ropes. If you were down in OZ id be happy to take you out for a day.best of luck mate
  19. Depends which way you look at it but as Sir said were pretty fortunate that we can hunt all year round the rabbits here mainly breed during spring which is now but if we have mild winters they'll breed year round

  24. that one female that stays down for ages is a bout 2yrs of age and seems to just do her own thing regardless i won't be taking her out over the summer months as ill need an excavator to get her out. As for your litter hope all things go well mate and id like to pick up 3 gills like we spoke about quiet a while ago but just depends what you end up with.cheers pete
  25. What can i say Jok, make a quality product like your boxes and us hunters will buy it.i hope my one will be as sturdy as i occasionally take my pup{40kg} with me
